Incompetent
I regret to say that my experience with Dr. Panicker was extremely disappointing. I visited the ER with severe abdominal pain, diarrhea lasting nearly 72 hours, and vomiting. Despite clearly describing my symptoms, I was dismissed with a diagnosis of a “tummy ache” and sent home without any effective treatment or plan for further evaluation.Thanks to the persistence of my primary care doctor, I later underwent a CT scan and discovered I have mild colitis, a ventral wall sliding hernia, and a supraumbilical sliding hernia that had been causing obstructions. Learning this on a Friday after being in the ER on Tuesday was frustrating, as it delayed the care I needed to recover and prolonged my suffering unnecessarily.If this doctor walks into your hospital room, I strongly recommend you immediately request to see a different provider. I hope the hospital reviews this incident and takes steps to make sure other patients receive the attentive care they deserve.
