Dr. Ashwin Rumalla, MD

Dr Ramalla and all of the staff are very, very nice. Everyone that I dealt with left me feeling as if I mattered and they took the time to make me happy and comfortable.

The staff at the clinic was very friendly and efficient. My Sister Jaye recommended Dr. Rumalla and I can see why she liked him so much. He answers questions and explains procedures. I am glad I found such a kind doctor who is also very professional.

He found my colon cancer, I had the surgery and doing fine. He a five star in my book.....

He is patient, kind and on top of everything. Very compassionate and truly listens to you. I would definitely suggest him to friends if they needed to see a GI doctor.

His office staff is impossible. I was told to make an appointment with him following my hospital discharge. After calling his office for an appointment three times,in three weeks, my PCP office attempted to expedite the appointment. That was two weeks ago and I still do not have a return call from his office staff.

I moved to Ocala in 2012. I went to Dr. Rumalla after a very bad experience with another gastroenterologist. He was thorough, he researched my previous experience and reports, and treated me very successfully. he has continued to do all of my required colonoscopies and his reports are thorough and many done right on the spot. I’ve never had him not follow up or follow through on anything he promised.

Dr A. Rumalla and staff were friendly, professional, efficient and most importantly- kind. I was kind of nervous about having my procedure. These people were wonderful.

Very knowledgeable. Pleasant personality. The office staff was wonderful. I just moved to Ocala and it is refreshing to see doctors who really care. Love that they have a patient portal.

I found out about this doctor after visiting our internet portal at Stone Creek. He takes care of so many members in our very large retirement community. This service has been great for both me and my husband because we had to obtain all new physicians when we moved to Ocala. There have been so many times that I have seen people post their comments about Dr. Rumalla on the portal and they have all been very impressive. He is a very caring, skilled, and intelligent doctor. Moreover, he only orders tests that are necessary and surrounds himself with terrific people such as his medical assistant, Barbara. There has never been a time that Barbara has not called us back when we have left a message for her. She is a Godsend!

This doctor has been taking care of me for my ulcerative colitis over the past 10 years. Any time I have ever experienced a flare-up, his office staff has always been very responsive to me. They relay the message to Dr. Rumalla and he has often called me even late at night. He has been a life saver! Now, my entire family sees him. I am also a retired medical professional living in the community. I have asked numerous physicians and nurses about their recommendations for physicians and many of them have recommended him. Many of them also trust Dr. Rumalla for their own care.

Absolutely the worst GI doc in Ocala. He told me that I have IBS and said that there was nothing more he could do for me!? Really?? I went to Mayo in Jacksonville and was diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis after they ordered an Endoscopic Ultrasound but Rumalla wasn’t smart enough to order this test. DONT GO TO THIS DOCTOR

Had a colonoscopy still was having problems called the office to make an apt was told by Kelley the scheduler I could not have an apt for six weeks I said that's ok that my concerns still needed to be addressed she said no I could not have an apt.i have never had a Dr who I could not get an apt with.stay far away from this dr

In addition to my previous post because I ran out of room, I can say that I’m glad I found a new doctor who cares and respects me. Gerd is getting worse, which he should have mointered it. Before I decided to see a new doctor, I was throwing up and shaking and going to the BR constantly. He said it was stress well that was a lie because he didn’t want to be bothered. Saw two counselors and they dismissed that idea because I’m not stressed. Never have been. He needs to get a degree in compassion.

Diagnosed me with IBS and medicine he prescribed was not effective and said he had exhausted all means. Not something you ever tell a patient. Went to be gastro doc who ordered a stool sample and come to find out, I have cdiff and not IBS. RUMALLA IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED

Dr Rumalla has excellent listening skills, he explains thoroughly about my concerns and his course of action. The staff is wonderful. This Doctor, I highly recommend
