Dr. Athena Friese, MD

I really liked Dr. Freeze, I was her patient for years and found her very personable most of the time. However, everything changed when I started complaining of pain. She dismissed my reports of terrible pain in my arms and legs. She behaved very unprofessionally eventually though and went so far as to tell me it was “in my head, and that her husband had a herniated disc and dealt with real pain I could never understand.” She completely failed take my reports of pain seriously, so I remained undiagnosed, suffering for years. l found myself eventually completely disabled and in a losing battle with degenerative disc disease with stenosis (ironically from herniated discs) and constant, unrelenting neuropathy. I now rely on a mechanical device connected to my spinal cord to survive the pain and I always wonder if it would have gone this far had she just listened. She’s great for colds and flu or bump on the knee but I highly recommend seeking elsewhere for any serious care.

She evaluated and treated me for my symptoms and went above to be sure that there were no other issues.

I have seen Dr Friese for many years and she is one of the few doctors that will spend time with you and listen to you. If you’re looking for one of the best doctors around Yukon or for that fact, Oklahoma looked no further than Dr Friese. I would highly highly recommend her.

Dr Friese is always concerned with whatever is my health problem. She is thorough during her exam and is willing to answer any questions that I may have. Have been a patient for over 20 years.

Dr. Friese, as always, is genuinely interested in knowing how I am. She always provides information and advice when asked, and I have put my life in her capable hands for many, many years. She is very kind and respectful and always has time to listen. She orders tests or procedures when necessary and always has the nurse call with results as soon as she has them. Orders meds when warranted and has each med explained. She has been my doctor since 2001 and I have total confidence in her as a my doctor. She is wonderful!

it was a routine visit, she covered all the bases, explained the test results in language I could understand. she listened to , and addressed all off my concerns.

Dr Friese was quick to diagnose and prescribe medication. She explained the drug and told me the new information about its use. I have recommended her many times but have learned she is not taking new patients right now. She has been our Dr for many years.

She withheld vital medications hostage! No Doctor should ever do this. What ever happened to "DO NO HARM?" NONE OF THESE MEDS WHERE NARCOTICS OR PAIN KILLERS! SHAME ON HER!
