I got the feeling that I was boring him.
I would not recommend Dr. Chandoke based on his attitude and manners. He rapidly asked questions and continuously interrupted me when I tried to answer them. I got the impression he wasn't interested in much of what I had to say. I did read many very positive reviews of him before my first appointment but positive does not describe my experience.

Narcissist. Avoid at ALL COSTS!
This man should not have a medical license in my opinion. He is gonna hurt someone else. Unfortunately I wasn't unscathed. See his name referred to you and immediately ask for a different pain 'doctor.' He doesn't deserve the title of doctor. He is gonna get Beacon in big trouble. Just a matter of time.

He said I had a cognitive disorder because I didn't remember his name; well he was the 5th Beacon dr & 1st time I saw him. He gave me an arthritis cream for a broken leg. Make up your own mind with that one. It was re-broke 4 days prior.

Good luck, you gonna need it
I have been going to Atul Chandoke for few years. Never ever trusted his recommendation on anything. At the beginning, I did get several injections and they never worked. Plus, everytime, I had to make another appointment and wait a months to get an injection, while enduring sever pain, that is even if his office returned my call!! The people who answer the phone, as I call them the "gate keepers," are rude and disrespectful. So I continued to stay with his office, just to get my medication and changed to an absolutely wonderful knowledgeable doctor at Christ network and I have never been happier with the results from my doctor at Christ Hospitall. It is interesting that Chandoke has high rating on Google and terrible rating on health grade. I guess you can buy Google. Also this does not speak highly of Beacon orthopedics to have such individual on their staff, i guess it is all about the money, as long as he gives enough unnecessary injections and tests. Good luck with your p

Avoid
In my opinion and experience, the only person he cares about is Atul Chandoke plus Atul Chandoke income in US Dollars. He doesn't care about anyone's pain or daily life of living with pain. He wants to give you uncessery injections just to make money even if it does not work and if you refuse his work, he'll try to cut your medication as saying you have no pain. Plus, anytime you have pain, you have to make an appointment and wait to see him for a month before he can schedule any procedure for the following months. And, if you try to make an appointment you have to spend about couple of hours just to be able to get someone in Becaon that doesn't speak fluent English to do it. He knows changing pain management doctors are not that easy, so he is not gonna take care of you, if it is not beneficial to him, himself.

Needs Serious Attitude Adjustment
Just hoping the company he works for finds out how immature and disrespectful he is to his patients, He most definitely must be BURNT OUT….he is grouchy and argumentative. After 5 months of him not listening to me, and just not knowing what to do…I’d had enough. NEVER going back to him. People, especially older women…BEWARE!! Lost my faith and trust in Beacon after this. Inaccurate Communication and Bedside manner…Grade F.

Very good doctor
He explained everything to me that he was going to do. I was worried that I would be still in pain afterwards because I was scared and he told me I didn't have anything to worry about. His assistant was just as helpful both times that I was there. After my treatment they made sure I sat and waited the allotted time before I left. I was given the instructions how to thoroughly take care of the site by the doctor and the assistant.

I agree with next two reviews. He is arrogant, obviously thinks patients are well beneath him, rude, doesn't listen to patients nor talks to them. I went twice. First shot did nothing for my pain. Second shot was very painful, and also did nothing for my pain. I will never go back to him. This man should NOT be a doctor!! A politician maybe. He'd fit right in!

I would give him a zero if I could...He is with Beacon now...I will never step foot back in his office ever again!! He and his M.A. made me feel so bad about myself, I left the appointment BALLING my eyes out!! His M.A. was very mean and rude.. “ Well he’s not going to do anything for you, he only does shots.I explained to her that I’ve already had 4 shots, with no relief, and ended up in the hospital with a 500 blood sugar, and plus the severe pain I was in caused me to have seizures (I have a seizure disorder)... In a very rude tone of voice proceeded to tell me “ well my husband is a diabetic and gets shots, you have to do better with your diabetes, that’s not our problem..” I was stunned..Then Dr Chandoke comes in, I tell him everything, he’s said I’m the dr not her...Then tells me he can’t do anything until he gets a drug test back, and that will take 2-3 weeks.Next app was a different excuse, 3rd visit he tells me he can’t do anything.. I asked what am I supposed to do? No answer

The first time I went to C.P.P. and met Dr.Chandoke I thought he was going to be an okay doctor. That changed though very quickly after a few months he became very arrogant, always short with me, never took the time in the room to listen to what I was trying to explain what was wrong and hurting. Dr.Chandoke makes his patients feel like their beneath him. In the end of seeing this doctor I was referred to seeing a surgeon who screwed up my back on 12-17-2020. This surgeon was supposed to fix my spinal cord stimulator from Dr.Chandoke putting it in on 02-17-2020, but one of the leads broke but Chandoke would NOT listen to me for 8 months.

I was referred to Dr. Chandoke over 9 years ago and he has made my quality of life so much better. He is a very smart, talented, and caring doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone who is truly looking for relief. He takes the time to show and explain test results and treatment options. Kim - Mar 29, 2021

He is excellent. I was recently referred to him for an injection. He went over it with me in detail, the injection was done perfectly, and I had relief. He was great. I read his reviews, and I think the bad reviews must be from drug seeking patients because the man I met was an excellent physician.

I had an incredible visit with him. I had low back pain, and he was able to do a MRI the next day, and got me an injection to help with my pain immediately. One of the best outcomes I have had.

As the wife of a prominent physician, I can tell you Dr. Chandoke is an excellent physician. He recently did an injection, and I had a significant improvement in my pain. He went over my MRI, and then helped me through my neck issues. I read all of the views here, and most of the negative people sound like people who were just looking for drugs. Every patient that I spoke to in the waiting room loved Dr Chandoke, and I do too.

Dr Chandoke is the best doctor I have ever visited. He did more for many than many other physicians. He took time to visit me. I read his reviews, and I suspect the other people were drug seeking . Dr Chandoke told me he didnt want to use narcotics to help me, and this is what I wanted.
