I’m a previous patient of Dr. Lalani and I called up there recently almost a month and a half scheduled an appointment and was never told that it was going to be canceled until a few days before when I called them. Whoever his staff is now are extremely disrespectful, rude and don’t even follow up with you when they say they are, I would I would proceed with caution when going to see him if you have to go through all of his staff members things have really changed

The front office staff is rude and not good at returning calls. They also don't let patient's know when a provider has left and when you leave a message the call are never returned as well as the portal. I would never recommend this office as sometimes it feels like the staff does not care just there for a paycheck.

Terrible office manager
Dr Lalani is an amazing doctor. he's very passionate and helpful. I owe him my life for putting me on the pump to treat my Addison's Disease. Some of his office staff members are rude but the worst is the office manager Deb. She has a preconceived notion of what your issue should be to a point where she doesn't even hear what you are saying. She doesn't listen to you when trying to explain the issue and she's just ready to argue with you. She's very unapproachable and extremely unhelpful. You have to go to extreme lengths to get her to look at your account to make a payment and you need to be ready to go into an adrenal crisis to get a refund that's owed to you. Anything about billing issues take between 6 to 12 months to get resolved. If it wasn't for Dr Lalani, I wouldn't go back to that office.

Bad office management team
Mr. Lalani is a great doctor no doubt. I rely on his expertise to navigate through my health issues. I have been visiting him for last 18 years. His office team sucks. I had a billing dispute for a procedure that was not provided. Instead of looking into it, they flatly refused the reversal stating the procedure was performed. When I demanded the result, they called stating they will reverse the charge. But I had to go to a great length to make them apologize for it.

The absolute best Endo specialist!
Dr. Lalani is genuine and compassionate. He cares about each of his patients and treats you with respect and addresses all concerns. He is also incredibly thorough. I saw Dr. Lalani years ago and when my insurance cut off, I wasn't able to keep up with appointments. Many years later I am back and so grateful that I came back to Dr. Lalani's office. The office staff have changed and not as good as previous staff; however, Dr. Lalani is just as thorough, consistent, compassionate, kind and the best in his field of expertise. So grateful for his incredible knowledge and expertise and how well he cares for each of his patients.

After being the patient at this clinic for over 6 years, I can no longer put up with their attitude and decided to share my experience. And this is way: I went through 6 nurse/physician practitioners within 18 months. For the last 7 visits, I had to see a new nurse practitioner because the previous one had left. Even more frustrating is how long I had to wait to be seen and how rude the clinic manager is. I waited for over 3 hours during the first visit and over 2 hours for the second to be seen by Dr. Lalani. Three weeks ago, I checked in around 9:00am for a 9:45am appointment. At 9:45am, I asked the receptionist whether Dr. Lalani was running on time. Only then I was told that he was already running one hour and 45 minutes late and counting. I asked the receptionist (1) why she didn’t inform me that the doctor was running almost two hours late when I checked in and (2) why the appointments with Dr. Lalani always run a minimum of two to three hours late. By then the clinic manager came out and told me that “Dr. Lalani owns the clinic, and he sets his own schedule.” He further added “Do you have any idea how hard it is for my staff to tell you that Dr. Lalani is running late.” I replied “Do you have any idea how hard it is for your patients to wait for hours, missing work and re-scheduling other appointments because Dr. Lalani cannot keep his schedule, not once or twice, but every time.” To my surprise, the clinic manager had the audacity to reply “You are talking just for the sake of talking!” In short, if you don’t mind waiting for hours or dealing with a clinic manager who is rude to patients, then by all means, this is the place to go. I had no trouble finding other doctors at the Mayo clinic to help me with my thyroid issue. It is much more pleasant to deal with people who are courteous and service-oriented at other clinics than at this clinic.

I have been with this practice for over 16 years now and despite the changes that all medical offices experience, East Valley Endocrinology has maintained a very high level of care! Dr Lalani is incredibly smart, patient and kind and is without doubt an expert in his field. There are decidedly times you will have to wait in the office to be seen, but I always assure other patients that it's because Dr Lalani is so caring and spends all his time with you. Each patient wants that kind of care, so it's important to exercise some understanding and patience when waiting for an appointment! My best advice is, do not schedule your appointment on a lunch hour or when in a rush. The providers here will dedicate all the time necessary to your issue, but they will do so for all the other patients as well.
