I have had the displeasure of multiple encounters with this provider. Every single time, she was rude, talked over me, would not listen while trying to explain what was going on, twisted and put words in my mouth. Completely unprofessional, rude, and rushed, and she should not be working with the public in any manner or in a medical setting, and especially as a provider.

Rude, Impatient, Unknologable.
We visited Next Care on Old Spanish Trail where and Dr Shaeffer saw me for sore throat. Dr. Shaeffer came in, didn't presented herself, didn't even said hello. Did not listened to my lungs or checked my throat, ordered a strep throat test and left the room, 10 minutes later came back and said: ' test is Negative you can go home'. I asked why I have white dots in my throat and she said: ' it's nothing ' and turned around and left. Please don't see this 'Doctor' she's the worst one I ever seen.

This woman is a danger to people
I agree with everyone else leaving a review. She is rude, talks over you, and was more interested in asking me questions that were not related to why I was there. I didn't get to finish one sentence the entire 3 minutes she was in the room. I also left with just a 'good luck'.

1ST VISIT ON 4.1.24, I ASKED FOR ANTIBIOTIC & HANDED HER THE BOTTLE OF " AMOX-CLAV 875-125'', I WAS PREVIOUSLY PRESCRIBED FOR IT THAT WORKED IN 24 HRS. THERE WAS LITTLE DISCUSSION, FEW QUESTIONS, & 5-6 MINS ONLY, SHE PRESCRIBED (AMOXICILLIN 500 MG) DIRECT TO PHARMACY, I SAW IT WAS DIFFERENT UPON PICKUP, BUT SHE WAS THE DR. .IT DID NOT WORK IN 24 HRS, & SINCE IT SEEMED A LESSER DOSE, I WAITED FOR IT TO WORK FOR 3 DAYS, THE ABSCESS CONTINUED & MORE PAIN, SO I CALLED AT 8:AM SAT ,5.4.24 TO REQUEST THE ORIGINAL RX THAT HAD WORKED.THEY SAID THEY WOULD LOOK AT RECORD & CALL ME. AT 10:00AM I CALLED THEM, THEIR RESPONSE WAS "NO, GO TO THE HOSPITAL EMERGENCY ROOM. I ASKED WHY, WAS THIS DOCTOR NOT A DOCTOR MAYBE A NURSE PRACTITIONER? / I WAS QUITE UPSET & SHOCKED, THINKING MAYBE SHE DID NOT WANT THIS ON HER RECORD THAT SHE MADE AN RX ERROR, & RATHER THAN CORRECT THE ERROR, SHE BLEW ME OFF. I AM A DISABLED SENIO WITHOUT A CAR, INFECTED & IN PAIN, I DID NOT REQUEST ANY PAIN MEDS, JUST THE CORRECTIVE ANTI-BIOTIC . NOW I SHALL GO THE STATE OF ARIZONA MEDICAL BOARD TO MAKE A FORMAL COMPLAINT & SAW ALL REVIEWS ARE LOWEST POSSIBLE ONE STAR ON MULTIPLE REVIEW SITES. BAD DOCTOR, NOT PLEASANT, NOT KIND, THE BUM'S RUSH & UNABLE TO PRESCRIBE THE CORRECT ANTI-BIOTIC PHARMACY BOTTLE HANDED TO HER. AT 10:

Horrible
I went for a swollen foot due to no prior injury and it was swelling quite a bit this evening. The front staff at NextCare on Pima St. was very friendly, and the medical assistant was friendly then it came down Dr. Schoeffer. The Dr. asked a couple of questions and then coughed wearing her mask as a chin bra. Then said, when are you going to go see your doctor for this as she cough cough and not covering her mouth and wearing a mask on her chin not covering her mouth or nose. It was like I was bothering her this evening and she wanted me to just go see my primary in 11 days. Meanwhile we’re in the middle of the winter crud Covid, Flu, RSV, and this doctor is wearing a chin bra and coughing in front of me without covering her mouth. I was fully masked from the moment I walked in. Horrible Experience at this NW urgent care!!

Avoid this doctor!
I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. Audrey Shaeffer was neglectful, mean, rude, didn't listen and didn't care about my symptoms or concerns. She shouldn't be practicing medicine, she could hurt someone with her negligence if she hasn't already. Please check out the urgent care prior to a visit, avoid this doctor, you'll save time and money and will avoid walking out humiliated and with no answers.

The WORST of the Worst
She is the most condescending lady you'll ever meet. She refused to give me anti-biotics, and kept talking over me and refuses to listen. She should be banned from the medical profession. I can't believe she works in Medicine, this is dangerous. She does not care about her job and her patients, period!

Should not be practicing medicine.
This person should leave the medical field. I went in to Next Care to rule out a UTI. I have a history of hematuria, and there was a lot of protein in the blood which happens when I am dehydrated. Audrey Schaeffer was rude, abrupt and just walked out of the room, after telling me I am at risk for renal failure due to high protein content. She did not ask me any questions about my history of UTI's and refused to answer my request for clarification. "I already told you, you are at risk of renal failure." I knew this was not true for me, but what about other patients. I agree she is a danger to patients, physical and emotional well being. She does not have a clue about health care. The only reason she has an overall rating of 3 is because she works at Next Care where the staff is friendly and it is easy to get an appointment. There is not one review of her above a 1 which is in itself too high.

Neglegent, condescending, a danger her patients. Refused needed care, offered prescription of antibiotics after claiming patient "just had a cold", which antibiotics can't treat. Said the strep test her nurse administered was neg, then said she was leaving to check the strep test. Was a severe sinus infection that you could smell coming off the patient, who she refused to smell when informed of his symptom. Do not trust. Should be reviewed for prescribing meds she claimed weren't necessary.
