Dr. Augusto Villa, MD

I have been his patient for over 4 years. I have not seen him in person for the last 2 years. I have been given appointments with 3 different PA's, all of whom read my file during the visit.He is a good doctor but has too many patients. It is difficult even to schedule a phone call with him.

He seemed very knowledgable, but was supposed to call me yesterday morning with information about my surgery, but did not. I called the office and was told his nurse would contact him and have him call me, but again he did not. Now it is Saturday, and I don’t expect him to call until Monday.

The Cardiovascular services of Dr. Villa are very good.

Dr. Villa was recommended to me by my Cardiologist. My situation was a bit of an emergency. Dr. Villa is an excellent surgeon and a dedicated practitioner. Not only did my surgery go very smoothly, but Dr. Villa took the time to fully explain what would transpire, but also responded to every one of my questions. I was so grateful for the time he took and for removing any of my fears. When I met with him 2 weeks after my surgery, he spent nearly 45 minutes with me explaining what I should expect in the months to come, as well as what was expected of me. I am very satisfied with Dr. Villa. I can recommend him without reservation.

This is the WORST medical practice I have ever encountered. The staff is rude, incompetent and totally lacking compassion. Their inattentiveness delayed my cancer surgery for many weeks as they could not seem to send official surgery clearance to my cancer surgeon for several weeks after giving me verbal clearance. This Dr and his practice are dangerous to your health. I pray their callous incompetence does not cost me my life.

Dr villa moved from mount sinai I things are worse than ever We have been trying to get a cardiac release for 3 weeks nobody answers the phone it goes to voice mail, they never call you back Very disorganized We are thinking about going somewhere else

I am a Physician from Philadelphia. The office is chaotic . He does catherization and stent placement . They do not keep up with literature. very bad follow up. to busy to care.It is why Florida is considered a their world country medically.

We had high hopes for our access to quality healthcare when Dr. Villa left the crowded and disorganized Mount S office. However, it seems we are back to the old routine of call, leave a message, and get no answer. We have gotten bumped and rescheduled 3 times since April just to see Dr. Villa. Each time it is an excuse of why the doctor has to move the appointment. Susan, his assistant, was of no help whatsoever in getting a RX for bloodwork or updated prescriptions. Even hung up on me one Friday afternoon because I was apparently taking too much time to ask her questions. Sad, sad state of affairs over there. Do not recommend this practice for critically ill patients. Staff just doesn't care.

Thank you Dr. Villa for the cardiovascular procedure, it is clear that you care about your patients, and I feel like I’m in really good hands.

Dr. Villa was the only doctor that Discussed every little detail of the CAT scan I brought to him and why I needed surgery. I was to3 other doctors . They all had me coming back 2 or 3 times, just didn’t tell me what would help my Venus insufficiency syndrome.Hats off to Dr. Villa who cares enough to take the time out for your problem and to find a solution.

I AM A LONG TIME PATIENT OF DR VILLA. I CURRENTLY HAVE BLADDER CANCER AND HAD AN ISSUE WITH BLEEDING AND PASSING CLOTS AND MY UROLOGIST SUGGESTED I CONTACT DR VILLA AND ADJUST MY MEDICATIONS. I CALLED AND EXPLAINED THIS TO THE APPOINTMENT PERSON AND ASKED THAT SHE ARRANGE FOR ME TO SEE OR TALK TO DR VILLA RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE I WAS BLEEDING PROFUSELY. THAT WAS YESTERDAY. SHE SAID SHE WOULD GET BACK TO ME AND NEVER DID. SHE DID MAKE SURE TO ASK IF MY INSURANCE WAS UP TO DATE BUT SHE NEVER GOT BACK TO ME. I CALLED AGAIN THIS MORNING AND WAS TOLD THAT THE DOCTOR "WOULD BE IN IN THE AFTERNOON" AND THEY WOULD DISCUSS THE SITUATION WITH HIM. WHAT A SHAME THAT THE STAFF REALLY RUN THE OFFICE AND THE DOCTOR HAS NO CONTACT WITH HISPATIENTS. THIS IS A WONDERFUL PRACTICE, PROVIDED YOU DON'T NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION ON A TIMELY BASIS. SHAME ON YOU MT SINAI. YOU PUT BUSINESS BEFORE COMPASSION.

Absolutely top notch....I am a physician, I would recommend Dr. Villa and Jeanette, part of his team to anyone who needs an extremely competent,and caring physician. Absolute trust in this fine cardiologist.

Dr. Villa has been my doctor for 20 years! I am in better health now than I have ever been, thanks to him :)However, there are a few people on his staff that do NOT belong ... They are rude no bedside manners make me worry about my next visit to the office.

Dr Villa's practice is like an assembly line. You are in and out with very little time to discuss your situation!

Dr Villa is a concerned and very skilled physician. i consistently receive his 'individual' attention with every visit. his support staff are among the best. his PA is one of the finest i have ever had. they all care about their patients.
