Dr. Avi Bernstein, MD

Dr. Bernstein is extremely intelligent and wants to understand his patients' unique needs. However, the corporate nature of modern medicine thwarts all physicians in the twenty-first century. Doctors are often held to strict quotas and must adhere to insurance limitations. Sadly, that happens everywhere. Dr. Bernstein does his best to direct your health care in the right direction. Many physicians do not listen to their patients, who often know their bodies well. That is not Dr. Bernstein. He gets to know the whole person, the gestalt if you will, and partners with you to offer the best care. Dr. Avi Bernstein is one of the finest physicians in Milwaukee. I know, I've gone to many of them.

I can only describe my experience with Dr. Avi Bernstein at Madison Medical, as outstanding. I’ve found him to be caring, thorough, smart and wise. He takes the time to understand my concerns, asks incisive questions, and listens carefully to the answers. His recommendations have, after only 5 months, already resulted in my losing 36 pounds, obtaining a healthy target weight, and in my blood pressure going from very high to totally normal, without the use of medication. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Bernstein as my internist.

Dr Bernstein has exceptional listening skills and carefully weighs info and observations to determine care and next steps. A great provider.
