Dr. Awathif Mackeen, MD

I had a complication and Dr. Mackeen expertly diagnosed me and explained everything to me. I felt so safe under her care. We ended up moving so I delivered at a different hospital and she called to follow up with me after delivery to make sure everything went well with my delivery and with our daughter! She went Above and beyond anything I would have expected from a doctor! Best best best!

I saw Dr. Mackeen for my last pregnancy and she was amazing! So naturally, when I got pregnant again, I scheduled an appointment to see her again. She is so caring and honest. There was something bad they saw on ultrasound and she explained it to me and then re explained to my husband as he did not join me for the visit. She is simply the best!

Terrible, terrible, terrible!! If u have this doc, run the other way!! I just found out my baby had no heartbeat after pprom (16 weeks mind u) and she was so heartless, rude, Uncompassionate, afterwards because “I couldn’t make up my mind quick enough” if I wanted to get induced or wait 4 days with my deceased daughter inside me and get a d&e. Fast forward to my f/u appointment, she couldn’t give me a straight àndwer as to why I lost 5 babies, 3 of which I was over 16w, or give me a plan of action to move forward with getting pregnant or a game plan when o do. She’s just awful! If you are an extremely high risk pregnancy, please just get a second opinion.

In our experience, Dr. Mackeen has been a wonderful doctor. She has great bedside manner and is very thorough, answering any questions we had. She listens and doesn't rush an appointment. I would recommend her to all of my friends and family if they needed to see a specialist.

Dr. Mackeen is one of the most caring and compassionate physicians I have ever met. Our baby had a problem and she performed our amniocentesis. I was very scared and she put me at ease. She followed up with us later that week and I chose to see only her for the duration of the pregnancy. I cannot day enough about her!!!
