I reported him to the Board of Medical Examiners
I took an ambulance to the ER because my legs were swelling, I was out of breath, and I couldn't walk. I had dozens of clots in both legs and both lungs which is extremely painful. They used an IV to force liquids into me while I was retaining fluids so I refused a second fluid drip because it seemed like all the fluids were going to my legs, becoming even more painful. The swelling was keeping me from urinating but he kept saying he's not giving me any pain medication until I urinate. I told him NSAIDS do nothing for this amount of pain. Later, when I eventually forced myself to urinate he gave me NSAIDS which did absolutely nothing. I rolled around in my bed for 9 painful hours until I received appropriate medication from a competent doctor. The next day a very large amount of clots were removed from my body, enough to fill a coffee cup. Next time I need to go to the ER I'll have to call ahead to make sure he isn't there so I can choose a different ER.

ER doc contradicts oncologist
I had an incident that landed me in the Ochsner LSU Monroe ER. This guy was the ER doc. When it came time to take my chemo pills and I had been sitting in an exam room for three hours, I asked for water and either an emesis bag or access to a bathroom. This doc told me it wasn't important to take my chemo exactly on time and I could wait. Meanwhile, the NIH says just the opposite - that chemo meds are designed to be extended release and should be taken at the exact same time every day to maintain consistent levels of the drug in the body.
