Dr. Babatunde Akinsete, MD

To be honest working with this physician was never great. He rarely listened to the concerns of the patients and was very rude and condescending. Not very open to feedback either so there is no discussion of a plan of care. Just what he believes to be right regardless of test results.

Dr Akinsete was called last minute by my Primary care office to assist at hospital I was sent to. He listened attentively to my concerns while observing my condition and mannerisms. After his examination he smiled and gave an accurate, understandable diagnosis which prevented a longer hospital stay and expedited my discharge. Dr Akinsete was excellent. He listened to all our concerns and explained everything in a way we could understand. He spent a lot of time with us each visit and genuinely seemed concerned about the patient and family member. Would highly recommend him.

Dr. Akinsete was the Internal Medicine Physician in charge of my mother's care during a recent hospital stay. He is very professional, knowledgeable and thorough. Took the time to explain the treatment to the patient/family and made sure we understood. Would definitely recommend him to others and would ask for him again if myself or a family member had to be admitted.

Dr Akinsete was very personable and thorough and explained everything fully. Since I wasn't feeling well he made me feel calm and I knew everything was done so I would get well.

The doctor was very informative and knowledgeable. He took his time to explain my issues and results. I have never had a Hospital doctor explain in detail the reason for blood levels and their effect on the body. If he were in general practice, he would be my doctor.

Dr. Akinsete cared for me on two different occasions. He was very attentive with a very compassionate bedside manner. He made sure I understood his plan and my results. He exceeded my expectations as an ER physician. If this provider had his own practice, I’d be the first patient to sign up. When you asked if I would write you a review of my experience in your care the first thing that came to mind is how I struggled with my COVID diagnosis because I have other underlying health concerns. He was my Dad's Hospitalist at Advent Health. Awful, first he told us my 91 year old Dad had Acute Pancreatitis - then Enlarge Spleen - then liver attached to pancreatitis - then gall stones. After 4 days he is a miracle - Dad can go home!!!! This doctor didn't care anything about how this happened or what we can do to prevent this or what his home life is!! Just go home, you are discharged. Between this doctor who didn't want to give the family any information and the hospital not caring. My Dad and I are frustrated and mad. God help you if this is your doctor next time.

This doctor was my hospitalist twice at a local hospital. He was completely unprofessional, he discharged me both times before tests that the specialists he had consulted ordered, he told me I was a drug seeker because I said that the low dose of pain medication he prescribed wasn't helping my pain. The ER physician said I would need to be hospitalized for several days because I had a blood clot in my lung (can be fatal). He discharged me in 16 hours against the specialists advice. Avoid him!
