Screamed at me after brain surgery
This man is the second-worst physician experience I've ever had. I went to him for a consultation 3-5 days after a brain surgery because I needed pain management care. He screamed at me in his office and told me the only thing wrong with me was that I was an addict and that this was the cause of all of my problems. I have never been addicted to anything in my life.I was still in post-surgical bandages and extremely desperate, so I asked him if there was anything he could do to help me ~ I wasn't just talking about narcotic pain medicine, any kind of pain management help. He yelled some more. Two days after that I ended up in the ICU with brain swelling and a fever that wouldn't go down for three days.

Office Manager makes this an awful place to visit
This is totally a complete WOW! I went to see Dr Shamloo. The rating isn't about him but rather about his "Office Manager". After my visit w/him, he suggested an injection on the neck to take care of some neck pain. His surgery coordinator was to call me to schedule. Indeed i got a call from this gentleman giving me June 16 as my schedule date. He said he would call Monday May 30 with the specific location of where i needed to go. Today June 1, I called as I hadn't heard back from him. Now the night mirror starts. This lady answered refused to take message for coordinator, screams and talks over me every time I speak. I told her to please let me talk as she is acting quite rude, and again ask to leave message for coordinator - she says no, will not take message and after continuously being rude, disconnects. She should be fired but if he keeps her, then the entire office must be like that hence the comments on this page!

Terribel bedside manner - rude
He didn't even ask what my experience was with injections, just proceeded to pitch to me, and talked over me. He was pretentious, rude, and lacked empathy. Not very good qualities of a pain doctor.

We arrived 11 minutes late to our appointment due to heavy traffic and road construction. We were told we would have to reschedule, this after our appointment was canceled and rescheduled 2 weeks earlier because of his schedule issue. Dr Shamloo very rudely reprimanded me and told me it was our responsibility to leave in time to get to our appointment 10 minutes before our scheduled appointment. We had to wait on him before, but that’s different, right? His time is valuable and ours isn’t?

I love that he does not just give you narcotics but instead, he gave me a list of non narcotic items to try to help my pain. He did a nerve block on my back to ease the cancer pain in my chest that I have had for 2 years. It was like he performed a miracle. Spot on! He is professional and to the point and takes care of business. No wasted time with him! I am grateful he did not just throw more pills at me and knew exactly how to improve my quality of life by lowering my pain. SIX STARS!

I have been taking hydrocodone and oxycodone for years. Due to primary doctor leaving the network I needed to find a Pain Specialist. I Decided to have Dr. Shamloo at Cedar Sinai Pain Center, help with my chronic pain and migraines. I explained to him the extreme pain I was and he prescribed CoQ10!!!! I didn't know what he prescribed until I dropped off the prescription at my local CVS. The pharmacist told me that it was an over the counter "SUPPLEMENT". I will be filing a complaint!!!

Bad. Suggested I do a procedure that I had already had even though it did not work. Yelled at me when I didn't think it was the right move. Didn't care that my pain has interfered with work. Will not help you, plain and simple.
