Dr. Balraj Dhillon, MD

I had been seeing Dr Mangot for several years who was both a neurologist and a psychiatrist, which was perfect since I have Parkinson's disease. He was brilliant, caring and had a wonderful sense of humor. When he retired, Dr Dhillon took over the practice, but had none of the attributes of Dr Mangot. Dr Dhillon spent the entire appointment filling out prescriptions and mumbling questions about milligrams and number of pills needed until my next appointment. He rarely looked up nor engaged in any conversation about my well-being. On the rare occasion that I brought up issues I might be having, some quite severe, his response was that everyone had problems that needed to be faced. No suggested coping strategies, or perhaps a reevaluation of medication. This is not an exaggeration, but an honest snapshot of my experience. It might be different for others, but I regret not leaving his practice much sooner than I did.

I've been seeing Dr. Dhillon for years, and I really like him. He treats me with empathy, and kindness. He patiently listens to my concerns, and provides good feedback.

Their office rescheduled my appointment two times in the past but that is fine but I can not do it for extremely difficult personal reasons? I had to reschedule my scheduled appointment two times and Doctor refuses to see me. That is kind of attitude Doctor shows towards patient. Instead of Doctor calling me back -- His reception will call you back multiple times -- And I felt extremely uncomfortable explaining personal situation / reason for reschedule to reception.

Dr. Dhillon was very arrogant and off-putting. He asked inappropriate questions about my personal life repeatedly and was extremely condescending. He told me that it was unfortunate that I didn’t have children. What does that have to do with my treatment? Scheduling appointments was a nightmare and they were over-charging me and losing paperwork. The office was very disorganized. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Dhillon for almost a year and have found his style and treatment to be effective. He's a good listener and adviser.

I love Dr. Dhillon. I have been seeing him flr the treatment of my severe anxiety and panic disorder and I have never felt better. After many doctors who failed to prescribe me what helped; or failed to prescribe me anything at all and took my symptoms and feelings as a joke: I have been SO THANKFUL to have found Dr. Dhillon.

I found Dr. Dhillon to be apathetic, impatient, arrogant, & defensive. The exact qualities you should NOT have as a psychiatrist. I was recently diagnosed with ADHD & he only wanted to prescribe adderall. I did not like the side effects & asked if he could suggest an alternative. His apathetic & irritated response was, “Adderall is what I prescribe most. It works the best.”….Such an odd answer from a seasoned Psychiatrist.
