Rude, Ripoff
I was referred to the psychiatrist for my child by her primary care doctor. She has severe anxiety and depression related to self image problems. He did not listen or take interest in what my child or I had to say. There was no explanation, sense of understanding, or medication prescribed. A waste of 500 dollars in ten minutes to say the same thing that was said to our primary care provider. This felt like the biggest health scam I've ever encountered.

Beware
Hands down the worst experience I have had trying to get my medications. I moved here from Michigan 2 years ago and never had these problems there. pretty much had to beg for my medication renewals also they will want to see you every month for $200 dollars a pop. Then one day I got a call that he had transferred my "care" to another provider in Charlotte and refused to renew my medications. I have no drivers license due to past indiscretions so could not get there if I wanted to, they don't care. I have been without my meds several times since being a patient here, detoxing many times on my own, which as you know is not fun. I called my normal doctor at Novant and they said nope we can't help you. If you can avoid this place I would, find an alternative provider unless you like going without your meds for extended periods of time.

Poor connection, poor diagnosing
Went to him for severe depression and anxiety that hasn't responded to therapy, meds, and ect for 5 years. First thing he says is, you haven't responded because you have bipolar disorder (not maybe or let's look at your symptoms, but--you do)...I said I never had any signs of mania or hypomania ever...he says u don't need to have mania to have bipolar (come on why lie like that (I am a physicians assistant)). Next session after putting me on atypical antipsychotic with no response, he goes well you obviously have a personality disorder and says, you don't even look depressed to me (really? Based off my looks through a webcam??). Now in my medical charts every where, it says I have bipolar disorder and an unspecified personality disorder. This man is concerning and a real disgrace to psychiatry.

Apparently dropped the "do no harm" from his oath. Doesnt listen. Dr. Ajayi will pigeonhole you within 5 minutes, and wave off any new information to keep things simple for himself. Not really a "doctor" thats going to work with you to improve your health, more just an (expensive) gatekeeper to a prescription pad. Pay the monthly fee, he'll pretend to do "therapy" for a few minutes a month, and you get the pills. If thats all you're looking for, this is your guy. If you're hoping for someone with at least as much concern for whats in your best interest as in what's in his own financial interests, keep scrolling, call elsewhere.
