Finally help with my RA
I did have to wait a while for an appointment but it was worth it. My rheumatoid arthritis has been getting worse and I went to 3-4 maybe 5 other doctors with no help or plan to get my RA under control. After the first visit and testing Dr Gruber’s instructions and medication completely changed my life for the better.

From my first experience to the present, I have had nothing but wonderful care from this office. Dr. Gruber is a doctor who is patient, understanding, and so thorough. He is an expert in his field. I have been blessed to discover such a fine doctor and practice that makes the patient feel confident about their treatment.

I waited six weeks to see Dr. Gruber. I took off from work (I work in NYC) and lost about 600 in pay as I am a contractor. I live an hour away, made a wrong turn and was 15 minutes late to my appointment. The office staff spoke to me in an incredibly patronizing manner-- I explained to th the lengths I had gone to to try and see him, and I felt treated like a peasant trying to get in to see a king. They insisted I reschedule, to wait a total of 3 mos. I did not do so-- culture comes from the top

I'd never recommend this practice to anyone. After making an appointment a MONTH in advance, staff took my copay and vitals, then the office manager came in to tell me "he's up to his eyeballs, and is way too busy to see you." When I demanded that they refund my copay, they wanted to set an appointment for me with another doctor in the practice. Two strikes - Dr. Vuong is awful, and Dr. Gruber is even worse. Don't waste your time at this practice - find a better doctor.

I go to Dr. Gruber for the past 4-5 years for infusions and a annual visit only..I do go to another Rheumatologist who does not do infusions and sent me here..I have seen the PA a few times but he always calls in another doctor to go over anything that we discussed...I have had RA for 14 years and am medication resistant..Between my doctor and Dr. Gruber they have finally come up with something that has helped me more then anything in the past..The office staff are so welcoming

You never see Dr Gruber. You see his PA. Every visit, the PA will write in the report that Dr. Gruber checked on the patient. Total Lie. I hardly ever saw him. Hes big on giving you Remicade via intravenous(iv). This way he can bill the insurance company for having you waste 2-3 hours of your time in his office while the office administers Remicade via iv. I specifically asked his staff for other options and alternatives to Remicade and was told "This is what we do here".

If it was possible to leave 0 stars for the office staff I would. The office people are incompetent and rude. I have advanced osteoporosis and at one interaction the office worker, said "don't worry you won't fracture tomorrow." In addition to their appalling professionalism, they scheduled me for an appointment that I arrived early for, only to tell me that the treatment they had called me in for wasn't available at the office. I drove 45 minutes out of the way for nothing. Very disappointing.

My doctor recommended him so I called to set up an appointment. The receptionist flatly refused to see me with shifty reasons: Oh, it's not the insurance... oh, if it's related to an accident you will have to pay....I could not even get in to see him for a check up after she asked me for reasons as to why I was coming in. Should I have lied and said I just want to come in??? Pathetic.
