Dr. Barry Munn, MD

Dr. Munn is a great orthopedic surgeon. He did a rotor cuff repair and a hip replacement and both went well . The physical therapy team are great too as well as his office staff . His PA Amanda is awesome as well I would highly recommend Dr Munn and his team to my family and friends

Dr. Munn has done 2 major surgeries on me and one on my husband. I have never been more happier with a Dr. Before. He is an amazing bone doc. Amanda, his PA is also amazing. I don’t make this rec lightly. I am a pedestrian that survived being hit by a car at almost 40mph. I had multiple surgeries in Fl and was worried moving to NC away from my Orthos Due to needing more surgeries. I 100% made the perfect choice in Dr. Munn. Everyone from his office staff to the Hospital staff are wonderful and compassionate to your needs.

I was taken to NEGA after a trimalleolar fracture several years back. I was told that I needed to go home and let the swelling go down before it could be repaired. Dr. Munn told the hospital he would go ahead and repair it, so I didn't have to go home. He was terrific, and he explained everything he was doing to me. Healing was difficult; I developed an open wound, but Dr. Munn took great care of my ankle. I haven't had trouble with it since.

always take extra time to listen to my concerns and explain my treatment options. Dr. Munn fixed my broken wrist with a plate and screws years ago. He did such a great job. I have full range of motion in my wrist and no problems. He also replaced my ACL and repaired my meniscus after a motorcycle accident. My PT said the surgeon had exactly the correct tension on the repair. When my mother broke her ankle, he was able to work with her to avoid surgery. I have found that Dr. Munn takes the conservative approach to orthopedic concerns. He will not suggest surgery if you can get relief and healing with shots or PT. If your problem does require surgery, he is the best doctor to correct the problem with excellent results. I recommend Dr. Munn to everyone I know. I really cannot say enough good things about him. Dr. Barry Munn was quick to get me in for an appointment. During my appointment he was very thorough in explaining my medical diagnosis. He performed a right Anterior Approach hip replacement. I had little to no pain after the surgery and was quick to get up and going. He was also very thorough in the follow up appointments and I did not feel rushed at all. I highly recommend Dr. Barry Munn for your orthopedic issues.

I became a patient of Dr.Munn on December 14th,2019 when I fell and broke my hip. I suffered several complications following surgery but I can tell you that Dr. Munn was by my side every step of the way. I have never had a better doctor than him, he gets down on your level he would look me in the eye when he talked to me and he would hold my hand and made me feel like I was more than a patient but a real person with feelings. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Munn he is a great doctor, I would recommend that if you need a orthopedic surgeon consider Dr. Munn you won't be disappointed.

His proposed treatment is NOT covered by my insurance. Other companies produce the same med which IS covered by my insurance. I have asked if he can use the covered med. Seems like a simple question. Neither he nor his nurse will take calls. They also don't return calls. Three weeks of phone messages and e-mails have gone unanswered. Meanwhile, every other orthopedic doctor's office I contacted is available to discuss my options and work with my insurance carrier.

Dr Munn saw my husband in the local ER after he sustained a hip fracture. Dr Munn was very professional, personable and took the time to answer our many questions even though he was extremely busy. Both my husband and I were very impressed with his professionalism and ongoing care throughout this experience. I, as a former emergency room nurse, would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Munn to my family and friends if they ever needed an orthopedic surgeon. It was an absolut pleasure working with him.
