Very talented surgeon.
I came in a helicopter due to a rupturing aortic aneurysm. You don't often survive those things. He did a double by-pass and put in a porcine valve. Has the general disposition of a surgeon but results were most exceptional. I am a physician and have seen many thoracic surgeons. Consider yourself fortunate if he needs operates on you.

In 2008 I had a heart attack. Dr. Jenson did five bypass surgery on me saving my life. I was 48 at the time. I had no heart damage and blessed to be in good health today. He is a great surgeon and was great to work with. I think of him occasionally and think we are lucky to have doctors like him with his skills. Jerry Weeks March 2021.

Follow open heart surgery, Dr. Jensen "diagnosed" my irregular heartbeat as "aphib" and put me on a drug with serious side effects for it. My cardiologist later revealed that I did not have "aphib", but, rather, an AV block, needing a pacemaker. I have been taking a very dangerous drug for no reason whatsoever.

My husband had a heart attack Dec 7, 2019. Transferred to MercyOne cardiac cath lab where I was told he had several blockages and needed CABG surgery. He was admitted and waited 13 days for the brilinta to work it’s way out of his system. Dr Verhofste was assigned to do his surgery but due to scheduling conflicts and upcoming holidays Dr Jensen was his surgeon. DR JENSEN SAVED MY HUSBAND’S LIFE! That in itself says it all. His bedside manner wasn’t great at times and he seemed short when answering questions, but he is an excellent surgeon & to us that’s all that mattered. Everyone we asked said the same thing. He’s one of THE BEST at what he does. Highly recommend him.

My family spent 5 minutes with Dr Jenson before he approved my father for a TAVR procedure that went wrong due to doctor error that then led to my father being on the operating table for an excruciating 16 hours, brain dead and death 2 days later. The Cath Lab at Mercy Hospital was not set up properly for the emergency that occurred during my dads surgery which in turn led to some critical errors. Most disturbing, at no point since did we ever hear from or see Dr Jenson again to at least say ?

I'm speaking on behalf of my mother who had an open heart surgery in fall of 2015 by Dr. Jenson and I would like to say HE IS AN AMAZING SURGEON! He explained things throughly and with the exchange of words, he is competent in what he does and is great at it. His work is a piece of art!
