As always, the visit, from checking in; the various aspects of the eye examination by the respective technicians were expedient and very professional; Dr Kuppermann and his staff of residents were both thorough in the exam and explanation of the results. You have a Class A Eye Center!!

The total experience once you arrive at the Gavin Herbert Eye Center is fabulous. When calling for an appointment, the telephone system is very difficult to work with. It asks you to leave your number and they'll call you back. I have never gotten a call back yet. I keep calling Eventually, I will get a person to answer.

With Dr Kuppermann cutting back on his clinical time, I'll miss him but wish him success in his expanded department chair duties. Only other comment, and understanding that UCI is a teaching facility, I have become accustomed to planning a two hour visit but the last two have been well over 3 hours. This makes planning difficult. Hopefully the planned increase in staffing will allow shorter visits.

Dr. Kuppermann has the best patient mannerisms or communication that I've had as a doctor, so really appreciate that. The bummer part was, at least on my day on this last one, he was running really behind, so maybe overscheduling or not sure how to prepare that, but just an FYI.
