Hospitalized at Hinsdale hospital Sunday afternoon. By the next morning I was told I was going into surgery. Met with Dr Fakouri who explained procedure but because of my Autism I felt a bit intimidated by him as everything was happening so fast. Dr Fakouri did explain he had an opening that morning so he put me in last min on the schedule. I was anxious and I spoke with nurses who vouched for him being a good surgeon so I took their word. Surgery went well cramping from stones immediately stopped but I did end up with a stent which turned out to be a good thing as I passed another stone. Today I had a follow to have my stent removed. Met with Dr Fakouri and his PA both were amazing! They were polite, professional and explained the procedure in detail. Dr Fakouri came back after procedure and gave me tips on how to prevent kidney stones in the future. I would recommend this urologist. Sugeons/Dr are always on the go by asking "can you give me a few more mins. " It can go a long way.

He's a good doctor with a great personality and sense of humor. Very honest but also understands the sedative nature of this kind of specialty. My recovery time was shorter than expected, probably because he did a good job.

I have had wonderful care and concern from Dr Fakouri and his staff. He listens and tries to find the best solution to painful situations - while allowing the patient to make the choices best for them.

This doctor doesn't care if your in pain. He is very rude and doesn't listen to what you have to say. The way he spoke to me during my appointment left me leaving very upset. I would never recommend anyone to go to him.

Dr. Fakouri was excellent in dealing with questions and compassionate handling a patient with the stress of not only facing a high PSA and pending biopsy but also a spouse with dementia who had to attend the appointment. Excellent and patient at explaining the situation and the patient's options.

he was concise but the good doctor spent the right amount of time looking at my on line record and also, alas, pointing his finger to the my sky. i am 73, healthy, with a 5.5 psa but with a father who died from prostate cancer. fakouri sensibly suggested for me to get a more sophisticated than normal psa blood withdrawal 4 weeks later and then he and i could discuss the results. so in no sense did i believe that dr fakouri wanted to pounce on operation. to me, he is aware of the patient

Most horrible Doctor experience ever. He did not give any accurate information about the procedure or recovery time. He has no bed side manner. I don't think he cares about his patients at all.

Worst Doctor I have seen in my life. He does not listen to his patients. All I hear is give it time give it time it will get better. After months of being in pain after a procedure he performed. Horrible experience, I would recommend you to select another specialist and wait. If you notice he is the only one with appointments and I was in a lot of pain when I first called so I made the decision of seeing him but that's going to teach me to wait next time.

Dr. Fakouri gave me the worst experience at a doctors office of my life. I have had over a month of pain and finally decided to see a specialist about it. Doctor did not even greet me with a hello or an introduction. He seemed the whole time like he just wanted to get me out of his office. I wouldn't normally write a review, but this one needs to be alerted.
