Dr. Belayneh Abejie, MD

This Dr (I hate to give him a title he doesn't deserve) is useless, had to threaten to fire him to get an MRI of my shoulder 4 months AFTER my accident (thought it was going to be of my neck also) when the MRI came back they called me at the hospital (working light duty) and they said "don't lift more than 5 lbs with that left arm, we need to get surgery scheduled right away". NOW I have been pushing about the pain in my low back and neck pain the whole time and have been showing him the uncontrolled tremors in the middle fingers of my right hand - talked to my workman's comp advocate that said he has never noted ANYTHING of my neck and right hand. BEWARE - if you are assigned this Dr. then "REFUSE" and ask for someone else. I am a nurse that deals with Doctors all the time, if I was dealing with Abejie, I would IRIS him on every patient he touched. NOW he has referred me to Neuro for my BACK and said they can deal with the neck because "that's not my problem" ... worthless.

Beware!!! This doctor does the bare minimum, and will basically give up if he can not immediately figure out an easy way to help you, and will find every reason to blame the patient. I suffered from chronic back pain for over a year before he finally sent me for an MRI. Then he flat out lied to me about what was on my MRI. I'm assuming he did so because he didn't want to try to actually help me. He would not do anything therapeutic besides physical therapy, which didn't work for me. He is either grossly incompetent, or just flat out negligent, and is the reason I have a hard time trusting doctors.
