I would choose another option
In the beginning Dr. McPherson was thoughtful and thorough. After a few years, she seemed annoyed with questions, and completely intolerant of concerns expressed by family members. Her practice is not coordinated with electronic medical records, so there is no continuity from hospital care. It is a better choice to go with Novant or Wilmington Health Doctors.

Dr. McPherson has been my doctor since I was 7, she left WHA and went to the VA and I was devastated. When I found out she was back at Davis Community and accepting new patients I immediately got on the wait list and changed my insurance just so I could see her. She is the only doctor I have seen that actually cares about her patients. She will spend hours outside of your appt. researching what could be wrong with you and will come up with different ideas and tests to run to try and figure it out. She is not about making money and actually codes things so you dont get raped by insurance. She spends the full appt time (usually 45-1 hour) with you. She talks to you about life and spends time with patients instead of rushing you out like most doctors. When I tell my other specialists that Belinda McPherson is my PCP they light up and say they know of her and speak very highly of her. My rheumatologist was actually the one that told me she was back from the VA accepting new patients
