Awful bedside manner
Telehealth
The doctor was rude, and wouldn't even make eye-contact for the first 5 minute of our telehealth visit! Just rudely kept typing, looking at his computer screen, as if we were bothering him. NO hello, no introductions, no eye-contact. Incredibly disprespectful. In addition, he was so condescending! Peppering us with the most basic questions about what my son eats, the quality of his bowel movements, rather than having an active, respectful conversation with my intelligent 16 years old, or myself, a seasoned mother. The doctor looked like he had better things to do than talk to us. If I didn't need the information to help my son, I would have hung up on him. He should not be dealing with anyone, least of all children who are discussing something as embarrassing or private as intestinal pain and digestion. Showed no concern or empathy whatsoever. I never bother to rate professionals, least of all leave a negative review, but this man was a stand-out in lack of professionalism.

Great doctor!
Telehealth
So easy to schedule an appointment, and he was both knowledgeable and warm! Yes, he's succinct and moves quickly- but that's what I want from a GI doc. And he was still very friendly, definitely not condescending or rude (as some reviews have said). My 14yo felt respected and understood, and she was so grateful that he took her seriously.

All 3 times we met via zoom call. He seemed very unconcerned, more like we were a bother to him. No real feedback or suggestions. Just as if our concern about our daughter health was not a big deal. He just stare into the camera like a deer in headlights. Anyway I did find another Dr for my child!

Horrible bedside manner
Telehealth
Enav is condescending, extremely rude and has no bedside manners. He was late to the appointment, never apologized and began asking a barrage of questions. He may be knowledgeable but will provide feedback to my pediatrician regarding him being on the referral list. When a child comments on his bedside manner you know it’s appalling. I would not recommend him. His social skills are seriously lacking.

Excellent care
First appt. w/ Dr. Enav, by referral from young son's lifetime PCP. New condition. I could not have been more pleasantly impressed. Professional. He listened, to four of us (son, Dad, Sdad, Mom), spoke to my son directly and precisely reasonably, and shared his insights, for which he was clearly prepared with blood and stool labs and historical information. Arranging appt. w/ staff/ site was straightforward. Left us all in much better understanding and hopefulness, with a clear trajectory for treatment and 'what's next'. Responded quickly and clearly to follow-up questions via portal. We went from very, very concerned about our son, to realistic understanding and relief and hope. Mom knows sedation and had very specific concerns and questions, all responded to very reasonably. Dad is behavioral health professional with adolescents. Sdad is also professional, accomplished and takes a good blood parent's concern. We all reviewed together and agreed could not have hoped 4 better.

Exceeded all expectations
My adolescent daughter began to have chronic, lower abdominal GI pain and nausea. We have an extensive family history on both sides with Crohn's Disease and colitis. I knew it was time to get a consultation, given how poorly she was feeling. It was starting to negatively impact her activities too. However, I was concerned about jumping into invasive testing or procedures. Instead, Dr. Enav went through things very systematically and asked a series of questions and used this to guide things. He explained the philosophy of starting with certain items (which weren't invasive) and adding only if helpful or indicated. He took the time with us in this that we felt was so helpful and important. He helped us focus on symptom relief (rather than diagnostic concerns given our family history), and guided us through simple and non-invasive measures. This included a special diet, OTC and a prn medication. She responded to this in full. My daughter is a new person now. We are very grateful.

Miserable doctor
I have never come across a doctor that is as cold, condescending, and rude. It’s mind boggling that this guy is a doctor much less a pediatric doctor. This guy is a MISERABLE human. Dr.Enav should have been required to take empathy classes in medical school. This guy was recommended to us through our pediatrician because he didn’t have a long wait to be seen. Well now I know why!!! I feel for anyone that has to interact with him on a regular basis.

I’ll start off by saying that as you can see from the mixed reviews, Dr. Enav is not for everyone. He is blunt and at times I did feel a little condescended to, but I guess I’m used to working in an environment like that so I’ve developed a shield to it. What I did appreciate is that he is knowledgeable, and presents evidence based information - which as a worried, emotional FTM I frankly needed a voice of reason. I do feel he has helped my daughter’s silent reflux a bit (sometimes there’s only so much you can do) but has also provided information to help us make important decisions about her feeding and medication. In my mind, I don’t need him to be my friend, I have friends, I needed someone who knew what they were doing after several other drs completely missed my daughter’s condition. That said, if you are someone who needs a gentle bedside manner (and it’s totally ok if you do!) this is not the dr for you.

He is very knowledgeable. I don't know why people don' t leave good reviews. He is straight forward. Maybe he has his bad days but his advise was helpful even though he was tough about the way he said it.

Dr. Enav didn't even acknowledge my (one-year-old) son's presence for most of the appointment. He didn't even say "hi" to him. His only interaction with him was a brief exam that ended with him throwing his hands up in the air and saying "he's all yours now." He then placed the blame for my son's eating issues on me (despite the fact that we have been working on sensory and oral/motor issues in occupational therapy for months, from which he graduated after quick improvement). I asked for a solution or resources to improve the situation based on his (rude, hurtful) assessment, and he just told me "it's a parenting thing," and refused to offer any help. We will not be going back.

DO NOT SEE THIS DOCTOR!! I have never in my 40 years of life encountered someone so rude, mean, and arrogant! I thought maybe he just didnt like us or he was having a bad day but after reading other comments- that’s just his personality. He told us he didn’t care what my son’s pediatrician said and asked what we were even doing there. He then told my son his biggest health concern for him is that he plays football. He also made negative comments about medications my son takes for asthma.

I just left Dr. Enav's office after NOT seeing him. My daughter had an appointment scheduled for this morning and after waiting for twenty minutes in the exam room it was time for us to go. I requested a refund of our copay. Dr. Enav did not bother to come out of his office until he heard me tell his office assistant how unprofessional I found his waste of my time to be. He is exactly as other reviewers have described him: arrogant, rude, and dismissive. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.

This was the most rude and disrespectful doctor I have ever met with. He was rude to my daughter and me. Spoke in a condescending and belittling tone. I was stunned and should have walked out. Paying his enormous bill after the fact was incredibly wasteful.

I rarely leave reviews but feel compelled to leave this one based on my terrible experience with this doctor. He was arrogant, rude and dismissive of even basic questions we had about our child’s symptoms. Worse yet he did nothing to put the child at ease and instead made sarcastic remarks when discussing the information provided. He sat slouched in the chair taking notes, with an arrogant smirk throughout the visit. The worst bedside manner I have experienced in a doctor’s office.

I would never recommend Dr. Enav to anyone. He is rude, arrogant and has a horrible bedside manner. I have taken my son to see him 4x in the past year and a half. Each time, I have progressively disliked him more. There is a reason why it's easy to schedule appointments with him and his waiting room is generally empty. Do not waste your time. There are other providers in the NOVA area that far exceed his medical care. It's surprising to me that he still has a medical practice.

He is arrogant and his bedside manner got worse with each visit as though we were a bother to him. He was very rude in email responses with things like "bloodwork shows nothing" or "stress won't cause flare ups". The last appointment my husband went and he was so rude to my husband. I asked for medical records and he sent me 36 emails with 1 piece of paperwork in each email. Will never go back or refer him. Our pediatrician took him off their recommendation list too!

Today was our second appointment with Dr. Enav. I agree finding a pediatric GI is challenging and the first time we met Dr. Enav he was helpful in eliminating what my daughter didn’t have. We went back today for some new symptoms and I 100% agree with other reviewers who say he’s arrogant and uncaring! My 10 year old even commented that he scared her which isn’t an endearing quality for a pediatric specialist! I use to recommend him, but those days are over.
