I feel compelled to write because I came to this website for the reviews which are generally negative… my experience was very good- he is Very knowledgeable and explained my shoulder injury clearly. Gave me options for how to deal with it, (the benefits of both physical therapy and surgery) and the harder recovery from surgery. Answered all my questions and there was no pressure to hurry. He actually referred me to another surgeon who has a specialty in my shoulder issue. His assistant was quiet and kind to us.

I had gone in with issue with my knee due to sports injury (locking, pain while doing simple activities), previously diagnosed as meniscus tear in my right knee. I was referred to Dr. Halligan, his diagnosis was to perform Knee Arthroscopy with partial medial meniscectomy, with lots of promises on improvement. Doc had created hope and assurance that I will be able to play tennis, bike, play soccer etc. I had done everything as asked post surgery to my surprise months after surgery nothing much had improved, no attention was given even when I had pointed out specific area of pain. It was quite a frustrating experience, hence my recommendation will be no to my friends and family.

My experience with Dr Halligan was not good. When i went with him, i had very little knee pain for over 3-4months. He suggested me to do cycling and a month later my knee pain worsened to the extent i couldn't sit/get up from chair without pain. I also felt the assistant Meagin kept asking me if my knee pain is at point A or B or C.. when i said its at all three places, she kept asking me again and again. She wanted me to pick one spot. Dr Halligan finally mentioned that patient cant tell the correct spot, just because all those spots had pain

My experience with Dr. Halligan was a very negative one. I took my son to see him because he had hurt his knee and it wasn't healing as quickly as we thought. His assistant, Meagan, was very mean. She twisted my son's knee in all sorts of awkward positions, even when he kept saying "ouch", to get him to pinpoint where it was hurting. She asked, "Is it A or B?" He said, "Neither, it is C" and she said, "No, is it A or B?" twist some more, until he finally relented and picked B. She smiled.
