Would never recommend this narcissit therapist!
Ben tricks people into admitting drug issues and denies treatment eao. if you're on Medicaid.

Kind, compassionate, knowledgeable
Dr. Nissen is up-to-date with knowledge of treatment modalities, medication and current research. I’ve always found him to be truly engaged and interested in my well-being and progress. He’s kind, compassionate, helpful, and always collaborates rather than dictates next steps. I feel fortunate to have worked with him for several years as my behavioral health physician.

Angry demeanor towards me
I visited with him probably about 5 or 6 times. He struck me as very uncomfortable in his position and would compensate by setting very strict guidelines in our meetings. For instance he yelled (yes yelled)at me because I accidentally addressed him as Ben and not Dr. Nissan. Very awkward. He really struck me not a caring person. Of course there is a line professionals like psychiatrists and psychologists have to draw but he went way overboard. I high recommend you stay away from him.

I feel like I matter.
Dr. Nissen has been mindful while we navigate some medication changes. I feel heard, and after years of therapy and loose diagnoses- I think he nailed it. I’m looking forward to my progression and grateful for his knowledge.

Terribly Cruel.
Dr. Nissen told me during my first visit that didn't go well "If you don't make another appointment, I'll just assume you killed yourself." That should speak for itself.

I spoke too soon. Dr. Nissen was terribly cold, arrogant and unfeeling the second appointment with him. What a shame!!
