Great Surgeon
This is my third surgery with Dr. Sears. All from accidents and all on my shoulders. Two rotator cuff repairs and one replacement. The service and care Dr. Sears extends to his patients is exemplary! He follows up and truly cares how you are doing post surgery. His staff is always there for his patients and goes he extra mile to help. Thank you Dr. Sears! I appreciate all you do for me. I highly recommend Dr. Sears and Western Orthopedics! Great Clinic!

Dr. Sears is great. His nurse is horrible
Dr. Sears and the Physical Therapy team are wonderful but be prepared to constantly call and get talked down to buy Lucy (Luz). She says 2 business days. I have repeatedly left messages an 3 - 4 days later no response from her. Then her excuse is "I just got...." voice mail, email, authorization etc... And that I just need to be patient. I called and left a voice mail 4/10/23 at 9:45 am. Didn't hear back. Called this morning to be told she'd call me back once she finished with the patient in her office. By 2:30 still hadn't called me back. So I called again and it was the same old song and dance. It's bad enough work comp is giving me the run around without her doing it to!

To quote Dr Sears after surgery “your elbow was badly shattered and really a mess, bone all over the place”… that sounds like nobody checked my X-rays before trying to relocate a ‘dislocated elbow’ twice, before needing surgery. I wonder why the bone was everywhere, maybe because you pulled on it twice when you shouldn’t have. 2+ years later I’m still having MAJOR issues with an injury that should have been fully healed in a year - again to quote Dr Sears.

Dr. Sears took my referral short notice. After hearing about my condition from the referring physician on a Thursday, he saw first thing the next morning because he didn't want me to wait through the weekend for treatment. Dr. Sears was knowledgable and friendly and spent a great deal of time with me discussing my condition, treatment and answering questions. Extremely grateful to have been referred to Dr. Sears.

Dr. Sears is the finest physician I have encountered in my 68 years. He performed a shoulder replacement on me last year. His genuine concern for my well-being shows at every appointment. He is never rushed and spends as much time with me as is necessary. He explains everything in a way that I understand, never getting frustrated with my many questions and sometimes lack of understanding! He asks many questions. His support staff is amazing. Nothing falls thru the cracks in his office!

Dr Sears was referred by a colleague after I had a fall with a severely displaced humeral fracture and shoulder dislocation. His skill in OR x 2 operations saved my arm. Very happy with reverse shoulder replacement. Great office staff. I am a RN.

Last year I was in a ski accident right before Thanksgiving. I shattered my Clavicle in 5+ places, and went to several doctors for opinions. Dr. Sears explained my options clearly and walked me through surgery and post-op expectations with a timeframe that proved to be accurate. He gives his time/full attention, and he sat with me until all of my questions were answered during every appointment. He's the most personable and professional doctor I have ever been to, I recommend him to everyone.

Awesome experience. My wife was due to deliver our daughter within a month of destroying my collarbone in an ATV accident. Dr. Sears got me in for surgery within days and did such a good job that I am already good to hold baby when she gets here. I was nervous about going in to surgery, but after some cursory research my wife and I were put at ease. Among the top of his class, specializing in precisely what I needed and right at 10 yrs of experience - Dr. Sears is at the top of his game.

Dr. Sears performed a revision of my ulnar nerve transposition and repairs to my rotator cuff and biceps tendon. From our first meeting and through recovery, he really listened, patiently answered my questions and made me feel relaxed. His surgical skills are top notch. My shoulder feels 100 percent better. Though I am still recovering from the ulnar nerve revision, I do feel significant improvement. The surgeon who did the first surgery told me I would never heal. Dr Sears proved him wrong!

I had an unexplained pain in my scapula. Dr. Sears ordered an MRI for me, but failed to follow up in any way even after I called his scheduler asking for a phone consult. I was left to rely on the radiologist report and my primary care doctor.
