He saved my Life. When in hospital things started going south and over a weekend. He pulled out all the stops, got every medical personnel involved to figure out what was going on. Figured it out and gave me the treatment that brought me back. Cannot THANK him enough!!!

Dr. does not listen to the patient or the patient's concerns. Treats patient as a "number" in the "system. Doesn't take appropriate action to find a solution to the patient's conditions/needs. Takes a long time to respond to concerns. Makes assumptions vs. treatment. More concerned about himself vs. the patient. Quick to "judge" presents himself as incompetent. POOR excuse for an MD!!! The WORST primary care physician I've ever had in my life!

Dr. Van Vranken is my primary care physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Minneapolis. Each time I have seen Dr. Van Vranken, he has been pleasant, knowledgeable, thorough in his diagnosis of my condition, and he has always directed effective treatment. I am happy to have been assigned Dr. Van Vrenken and won't hesitate to see him for any medical concerns that I may develop.
