He is an amazing surgeon. My recovery was excellent. He was very thorough with test prior to my surgery. He gave attention to detail. I would highly recommend this doctor to others.

I saw Dr. Wei after I had lung biopsy. I was referred to Dr. Wei by my wonderful Pulmonologist, Dr. Pew. My husband and I are truly appreciate Dr. Wei patience and honesty! Dr Wei had done a lung biopsy in early May. Prior to the procedure the procedure was explained to me very well and what to expect after surgery. Not only was Dr Wei knowledgeable and professional so was his staff. For anyone that needs a lung biopsy done I highly recommend Dr Wei. I cannot express how grateful and appreciative I am for his professionalism in helping to make the best decision for my circumstances.

He took time to explain and answer all my questions. I never felt hurried. My surgery went was just as he explained it to me.

Dr. Wei took extra time to send me information to help me make an informed decision on my choice between surgery and radiation for my lung cancer. I really believe my choice, his recommendation, will make my quality of life better.

Dr. Wei performed surgery on my lung. He explained the procedure very well. He also explained two different scenarios that could be applied. I felt at ease going into the surgery. During my recovery and stay at the hospital, Dr. Wei and different members of his team checked on me throughout the day. They made me feel as I was their only patient!

Dr. Wei explained everything in terms we could understand. If we had any questions, they were just a phone call away. He was very highly recommended by numerous other physicians.

We drove more than ten hours to see Dr. Wei for lung surgery. He saved my lung. He is a top thoracic surgeon. Dr. Wei was awesome in every way, very nice, very caring, very smart and I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. His team was second to none as well.

At our initial visit we presented some issues to Dr Wei that might affect the surgery. He referred us to drs to check it out and alleviate those issues. Impressive!

I just recently had a bilobectomy done on my right lung. He was awesome and did everything he could to make me comfortable. He was very patient and understanding. And overall was worried about your health and well-being more than anything.

While awaiting our appointment, Dr. Wei's staff made us feel at home and took my Mom's H & P. Dr. Wei entered and had already reviewed my Mom's file and was very knowledgeable of her cancer diagnosis. His recommendations did not seem pushy, but those of a doctor that truly cared. He did not rush and answered all of our questions. His calming nature put us all at ease. Dr. Wei also did a Bronchoscopy on my Mom later the next week. She was under anesthesia only around 30-40 minutes. Following, Dr. Wei came and gave us an update. It was outpatient and all went well. So glad UAB has a doctor like Dr. Wei!

I came to Dr Wei after my original Dr from a different hospital cancelled my surgery with little notice or information, which cost me a lot to redo tests, and cost me extra time off from work. Dr Wei was a Godsend and I can’t say enough over his knowledge, personable manner, details in information and excellent follow up. No doubt the BEST in this state, and I HIGHLY recommend him. I had a large hiatal hernia, and he and his team walked me thru each step in easy to understand details and processes. I’m 4 wks post-op now & doing well. This was a true Blessing to find him from several referrals by others who highly recommended him. I totally agree!
