Dr. Benson Hargens, MD

Listened to my history as I have just made him my primary. Made me feel heard and understood. So helpful getting me my meds as we travel. No negatives.

Have been seeing Dr. Hargens for over a year now, and every visit is great. He always listens to my concerns and addresses each one. Sometimes it's 'let's try this and assess in a few weeks/month', others it's more straight forward - depends on the concern. But I always feel respected and like I'm being given very knowledgeable advice. His staff is also very friendly and professional. Even more private or potentially embarrassing concerns are handled thoughtfully and professionally. I have no qualms about explaining my symptoms, knowing it will only help get a more complete diagnosis and treatment plan.

Dr. Hargens was talking with staff outside my room about me in a very negative, rude way. He stuck his head in, I was sitting leaning against the desk holding my forehead, because of an awful headache & I didn't feel well at all. He stated we would need to talk about my mental state, shut the door, left me to sit. When he finally came into my room after a long wait, he was very unkind, without compassion hurried through an assessment. He would not take my questions well or not at all. After the assessment he gave me only one option, when I knew he could of given me more. I refused his option, went home and continued to feel sick, until I was able to get into my own provider in the next 2-3 days. This provider gave me more than just 1 option, I was given by Dr. Hargens. My own provider's option worked very well and felt better within a few days. The visit with Dr. Hagens was a waste of my time. I was appalled as to the way he treated me!

I couldn’t be happier! He listens to my concerns, is never in a rush. He explains answers to my satisfaction. Great doctor!!
