Dr. Bernard Nartey, MD

We have always gone to Cedar Mills for the pediatricians but they are all gone now. We went to Dr. Nartey for family practice because my son is 10 and I thought he would be a good family MD. My son spent the whole summer having severe allergy issues. He looked miserable.. I’ll never forget he said to me “what do you want me to do about it”. I know it wasn’t an emergency but I hopped for a referral or maybe a steroid inhaler. I was disappointed and we have now switched to Children’s Hospital Pediatricians. The Children’s Pediatrician got us set up with an allergist right away and agreed there were significant allergies. He has some good reviews but maybe he isn’t for pediatrics. Ascension allergies don’t see pediatrics anyway, I had tried that route as well.

Dr Nartey is my new primary care physician. He has been very informative and patient with me as we continue to troubleshoot my health condition and recovery. I have had a million questions and concerns, he has addressed them all. He seems to be genuinely concerned about my well being.

He takes time to understand patients conditions. He noticed my hands had dry skin and sent the medicine to Walgreens.

After a sudden request, picked up a 3.5 year old grandson for an appointment yesterday and when I arrived 10 minutes late to the Ascension clinic in Cedarburg, I was told the appointment was scheduled for 20 minutes and I was 10 minutes late, so Dr. Nartey decided he would not see my grandson. We then left the facility. I was stunned by the comment and did not argue or loudly express my disdain. Apparently some doctor's must think too much of themselves. Over the years I've had many occasions to wait lengthy times for a doctor to show up and meet with me. Some have the manners to apologize. My rating for Dr. Nartey is a zero.

Dr. Nartey has an excellent way of working with the patient to address the root cause of an ailment. Professional and sensitive to the individual. Highly recommend him!

He was incredibly friendly, thorough, and patient. I did not feel rushed at all and he genuinely seemed to care about my well-being and recovery from an injury. He gave me appropriate prescriptions and wrote a nice Doctor's Note for my studies. His team was very friendly too and the Prospect Medical Commons is always easy to access and has very friendly staff. Highly recommend.
