Follow up care is very difficult with her

There has not been a moment outside of scheduled appointments where this DR. has been willing or able to help me. It's really hard to understand the need to have a PCP when CareNow and other Emergency Services are the only ones that always end up helping you. Very recently I needed her to review my medication and discuss a work medical leave needed, and every method attempted failed to get her to make contact. The only location where she works, USMD Weatherford, have always been horrible to get through, the messages in the app are answered very late, or not at all. Right now the excuse is that they are training due to a new system. However, I have never knew of a DR. that would leave her patients abandoned on their own with no means to communicate with their Drs. I just feel Dr. Mewis lost interests in her patients. If you can get sick on a schedule, go ahead and book an appointment with her. Please, try not to get even a cold outside your scheduled appointments!

Because she's interested in how I feel and taking care of me and I love that about her. And if she can't help you she will send you to somebody that can and I really appreciate that, ?? I have already recommended my family members to go there and my sister's already one of her clients and she too is pleased,

I’ve had a large amount of doctors, whether for typical health or due to my disabilities. Dr. Mewis is the key to any success we’ve had, the strides we’ve made and the care I’ve received. She is, by far, the best physician I’ve ever been around. Her care and concern for patients goes well beyond anyone’s expectations. She has a heart and a mission for helping anyone she comes in contact with.

Most important quality of an M.D. to me is listening to my input of symptoms and flexible in my care. Not rushing to just prescribe another medicine. We ‘re working together on lifestyle and tweaking current medications.

She has been my doctor for over 20 years, and I have absolute confidence in her ability to treat my illnesses. I would absolutely refer others to her as I have in the past.

Knowledgeable, thorough and caring

I’ve worked as a nurse for a number of years and also have a number of conditions I see various doctors about. I don’t think I’ve ever had an Internist or Primary Care doctor who does such an amazing job in every area. Dr. Mewis listens to me. Like REALLY listens, none of that “yeah yeah yeah” doctor is half listening whatever. She doesn’t have me come in four separate times for four different issues if it can be handled in one visit. She is cautious and appropriate with prescribing but isn’t afraid to actually prescribe medications that are needed. She follows up RIGHT AWAY on results and stays up on what’s happening with her patients, plus her staff is fantastic, excellent nurses, admin, etc. Extremely competent and knowledgeable, you feel safe with Dr. Mewis. I don’t leave reviews almost ever, but this one is deserved. Dr. Mewis and all the great people at USMD will take care of you. Highly recommend to anyone!

Very knowledgeable, very nice doctor

She is smart, understanding, gives very good advise and is effective. She has been my doctor for 20 years and I feel very blessed by that!

I felt she took plenty of time to understand my concerns and asked clarifying questions of me to make sure she wasn't missing anything. She also explained to me who she was referring me to and why.

She’s a wonderful listener ask me questions and answers any questions that I had for her.
