Terrible Experience
I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Simon during my hospital stay. When she suggested something as a preventative measure, I declined and expressed my preference to go home instead. She responded in a condescending manner, saying, 'If you think having a baby in the hospital with all these nurses is hard, just wait until you get home.'Her comment was not only dismissive but also heartbreaking to someone who had given birth 24 hours earlier and would inevitable go home without help. This was a terrible thing to say to someone at one of the most vulnerable moments in life. To my surprise, taking care of my baby at home was significantly easier and more peaceful without constant interruptions at the hospital and I was correct that I didn't need what she was originally suggesting.

Looking to transfer my care
I enjoyed Dr. Simon when I was pregnant with my baby but all future visits were rushed , she is beyond rude if you question her on anything, and is not willing to listen to her patients. I also tried to schedule an appt with her for a problem visit and she refused to see me until my one year check up which was three months away. Run from this office

I found her to be rude and cold and disinterested in helping to really answer my questions or spend time on my concerns. She recommended a product and when I asked which brands or types she thought best, she told me to download an app where there are lots of discussions about it. Then, I discussed my menopause weight gain despite my constant dieting and exercise, etc, and asked for advice, and she literally told me to do more crunches. lol. the worst.

Didn’t love her
I think Dr. Simon was a wonderful gyn. I appreciated her humor and personality, but once I got pregnant I didn’t love my appointments with her. She was always late, rushed and seemed like she didn’t even know who was sitting on her table. At my postpartum visit she walked in 45 minutes late and said “ah my last vagina of the day.” As somebody who has experienced sexual assault (which was on my record) to be dehumanized like that - especially in the throes of post partum depression, was really the final straw.

Zero stars
I’ve never left a review for a doctor, but I feel so strongly about how horrible my experience was with Dr. Simon during my pregnancy. Without getting into details, she was dismissive, condescending, displayed zero empathy for a difficult pregnancy and was extremely disrespectful to me just as a human being, let alone a pregnant patient. I dreaded my appointments with her and could not understand why I left appointments with her feeling like “why does this doctor think it’s ok to talk to me this way?” She is a bully, she is arrogant and I have never been treated so horribly by a doctor, or any other human being. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone on the planet.

Terrible doctor
Absolutely do NOT recommend. I have nightmares from my pregnancy after having her as a doctor. She is SO rushed, extremely impatient, and does not even read your chart before coming into the room. I had to keep correcting major details because she didn’t even read where I was in my pregnancy or what was going on! She does not answer questions, is not thorough and just wants to get out of the room and on to the next. Find a much more compassionate and careful doctor.

HORRIBLE - PLEASE SEE SOMEONE ELSE
I have never written a bad review for a doctor before, but I have had such a horrendous experience with Dr. Simon. Here are some reasons: -She has ZERO empathy and NO respect for her patients (which I think is important for an OBGYN to have with her pregnant patients....) -She rushes through the appointments and cant wait to leave the room -She constantly would forget or miss key details from my medical history, ultimately flip flopping advice when I would remind her (this happened several times over the course of my pregnancy) -She uses crass language/curses in every appointment; she is extremely unprofessional and very arrogant -She gets offended when you ask questions and lacks patience - terrible bedside manner -She did NOT care about me at all as her patient, and from day 1 I always felt like I was not in the best hands. I stayed with her since she was a referral from many friends. Big mistake. Over time my friends are now also very unhappy with their care.

As a woman way passed menopause, I found Dr Simon to be receptive and understanding of issues that women my age experience. I felt way more relaxed being able to be candid than I have been with other gynecologists. There are few DES daughters coming through offices; she took the time to research medications’ interactions to prevent waking any possible effects from this dormant meds taken by my mother while pregnant w me. She got back to me with her research to discuss my options. She is A+ in my book.

These negative reviews definitely do not describe the Doctor that delivered my son a year ago. She is the best Doctor I ever had and spent way more than 5 min like some of you said. She would listen to my stories about things my in laws did to upset me and I even joked it was like a therapy session . She’s a very compassionate Doctor that would hug me when she knew I was getting anxious to have a c section.

Really rushed. Giant medical practices like Scarsdale Med are like factories. Normally that's ok for a routine exam, but not ok when wanting to understand the side effects of a new Rx. Instead I am doing research on the internet. My previous GYN (in the city, too far) was terrific and I think I'll need to keep looking. Not awful, just not very good, and if something does ever go wrong, not the kind of dr. I will want.

I did not even get in to see Dr. Simon and was immediately turned off by her office due to her assistant who acted in a rude and unprofessional manner when I attempted to make an appointment (after calling the office 3 times). Her response when I questioned a date that was "assigned" to me, "well, that is what the doctor said", does not make me feel cared for as a patient and is a red flag. I promptly called another group who was much more responsive to questions and concerns I may have.

I need to defend Dr Simon. Yes she has a personality & sense of humor that you will either love or not get but she is the only doctor that gives me a straight & honest explanation/answer. I trust her implicitly. She will see unscheduled patients when urgent so yes she is a bit rushed but she is appropriately cautious. I truly feel she saved my pregnancies as she was the only dr to listen to me & take my symptoms seriously. Also, that "last name" review is highly offensive & Im not even jewish...

I am absolutely mortified to read these terrible reviews of Dr. Simon. The woman who took care of me in my second pregnancy was warm, nurturing, patient, quirky and an absolutely pleasure to be under the care of. She is straightforward and a fast mover for sure. Personally, it made me confident that she would spend the time when I needed it and not waste either of our time if all looked good. I have recommended her to multiple people and encourage everyone to meet her and make your own opinion.

I started to see Dr. Simon about 10 years ago, she was recommended by a friend. Since then she is the only gynecologist I am willing to see. I live in Long Island and I don't mind driving far to see her. I have four kids who dr. Simon delivered and number 5 is on the way. I'm so happy I met her. She is so warm and caring and she always takes the time to listen and address all questions and concerns. She is super smart and I value her professional opinion. Thank you doctor Dr. Simon Mazi pilip

Dr. Simon has been my OBGYN for the past 10 years. She was a strong advocate for helping finally determine a birth control that worked for me, gave me comfort and counseled me when I was impatient in getting pregnant, and provided EXCEPTIONAL care throughout my pregnancy. I drive over an hour and a half to see her - there is absolutely no one in this area providing such thorough, phenomenal care to women. You'd be lucky to be a patient - and in amazing hands.

I was referred by my fertility specialist after a very difficult journey. During my pregnancy I suffered from Kidney stones, and was very sick. I was admitted several times and never questioned Dr. Simons recommendations. Always listens, empathetic and professional. Dr. Simon provided me and my unborn baby with the most phenomenal care anyone can wish for. She cares and always makes herself available to me. I could not have done this without her. I sincerely recommend her for treatment. #1Doctor
