Excellent care
I had two surgeries with Dr Shah to treat my appendix cancer. Throughout the process he explained the plan, alternative plans, what-ifs, and what to expect. He took time to ensure that I understood my diagnosis and treatment needed. I had concerns about a particular surgical option (because my father had a traumatic experience years ago). Dr Shah did not try to convince me of anything and simply said we won’t do that if you’re not comfortable. His empathy and listening to my concerns was greatly appreciated. When their was uncertainty about an additional treatment, Dr Shah reached out to colleagues for collaboration and to minimize my concerns and make sure we made the best possible decisions about my health. Dr Shah is a great doctor who really knows his stuff. His staff sometimes seemed disorganized, but they always took care of my concerns. He answered all my questions and always took time to explain everything to me. I am grateful he was on my team.

Dr. Shah was wonderful, he spent time explaining and comforting us during a very difficult time. He never rushed and took the time to explain procedures in layman terms. He saved my life and I will forever be grateful to this wonderful and very skilled Dr.

I was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma of the peritonei. Which is a very rare cancer. I was referred to seek help from Dr. Bavin Shah. The office staff was very welcoming and tentative. Dr. Shah was very knowledgeable and personable. He answered all of our questions in a way that we understood and addressed all of our concerns. Dr. Shah spent a total of 21 hours in 3 different surgeries to remove all of the cancer. As of February 19th 2020 I was declared cancer free. Because of Dr. Shah’s knowledge and professionalism I can now continue to live my life with my wife, children and grandchildren! Thank you!

Dr. Shah was absolutely incredible through the entire process. I was sent to him with a tumor, and he gave me his honest opinion about what he would do. He spent a long time explaining all of my options to me, I didn't feel hurried, rushed or unimportant. He made me feel like the only priority when he came in the room to talk to me. My report wasn't ready the next appt and he waited in the office until he had the report in hand and stayed til after the office closed to talk to me about every detail, and even tried to schedule my surgery right then and there with the hospitals. The surgery ended up being more difficult than he had thought, but he spent 5 hours doing a surgery lathroscopically to avoid cutting me open. He was communicative the entire time, always was able to fit me in with appointments when needed. Came to see me first thing in the morning the day after my surgery even tho I didn't get out til after 11pm. I highly recommend Dr. Shah and his staff. They are incredible!

My insurance coverage changed after one round of chemo and I needed to find a new oncologist. Dr Shah saw me in one day, thoroughly reviewed my records and determined I was not a surgical candidate. He personally got me an appointment with a medical oncologist and and scheduled a port insertion on the spot so my next chemo would not be delayed. I have never met a Dr. more compassionate or committed to their patients. He is the kind of Dr. everyone hopes for.
