Extremely Caring Doctor
Dr. Biju Alex is an absolute professional. We (my family) have been really searching for a great Gastroenterologist in Columbia, MD for a long time. Dr. Alex came highly recommended from another well trusted specialist. From the get go, this is my down to earth honest opinion about Dr. Alex. Dr. Alex is extremely caring, loving, and compassionate. He does NOT rush his patients as many other doctors do. He listens to you and your health complaints and concerns very carefully. He really spends his valuable time (up to an hour and never looks at his watch) with patients without rushing you. Of course, Dr. Alex does not smile as often as you like or chit chat as other money centric doctors do. He is very gentle and NOT arrogant as other doctors I came across. I can personally vouch that Dr. Alex absolutely cares and is a well trained compassionate physician. For me Alex is a God sent guardian angel. He is a miracle worker.

After suffering for years and after seeing 3 other doctors during that period, Dr Alex reviewed my records and discussed my condition and within minutes made a diagnosis that was correct and resolved my intestinal issues. I drive a long way to see him and it’s worth it.

Capsule Endscopy was performed and I have been unable to get results after 13 days. Appointment scheduling was incorrect and had to be rescheduled. After being hospitalized for upper GI bleeding still have no information on cause a month later.

I like Dr. Alex and stumbled upon him by accident. He is very knowledgeable and works with me with my disease (crohn's disease). The only problem I have is his secretary who is never calls back after you leave a message or never follows up on medicine that I may need.

Competent. But not a patient-care type of doctor, more of punch-the-clock medical mechanic. He’ll hand you lots of pamphlets and leaves it to you to figure it out.

I love Dr. Alex! I have been battling recurrent c. diff infections for months now and he is always there to help me when I need it. He is very knowledgable about my condition and makes sure he is up on the latest research in order to treat it properly. He takes the time to inform of everything I need to know about my disease and treatment. He also follows up on my calls when I have questions or problems and even calls me on his own to make sure that I'm doing ok. Best GI ever.
