Dr. Bikash Gupta, MD

My mother was staying at the Cabarrus Family Medicine, Concord, NC location and I was shocked with my interaction with this doctor. He was very dismissive to our question regarding my mother's condition, and he didn't show any compassion to patient. His medical advice was contradicting with previous doctors that were seeing my mom in previous days, however when we mentioned that his advice was different from the other doctors, he bluntly said 'they don't know what they are talking about' referring to his fellow doctors at the same hospital. He left us confused about treatment plan and medication type. His answer to question was in a condescending manner. I will not recommend this doctor to any patient.

This doctor never did a hands-on exam in three days that I was in the hospital...he always stood at a distance and actually had one foot out of the door before I could communicate anything to him. He talked over me as I tried to express my concerns and ask questions and was completely dismissive of my knowledge about my OWN body. I felt that he had a condescending and bullying persona and displayed ageism when "dealing" with me. He basically provided no care to me at all, other than to ignore dietary items that I had already told him I could not tolerate with an extreme gastrointestinal illness. He was not available to the nursing staff for questions and medication updates either. The inpatient care at Atrium Cabarrus was simply non-existent and the floor I was on was dirty, loud, chaotic and very distressing.
