Dr. Bita Badakhshan, MD

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Bita Badakhshan or her practice at OC Functional Medicine:- Dr. Bita caused stress for her staff by insisting the assistant helping me stop and follow her in a very rude tone.- Another doctor questioned me on unrelated issues, and Dr. Bita ignored my medical history, despite providing detailed documentation, scans, and lab reports.- She ordered repetitive lab tests, even though I had recent results on hand.- When I tried to explain, Dr. Bita dismissively said she only works with 'compliant' patients, which left me speechless.Dr. Bita recommended a 21-day vegan cleanse without considering my allergy to pea protein, which was in the cleanse. She also suggested EBO2 therapy ($3,200) to improve kidney function, but after researching, I found it could trigger a flare-up of my inflammatory disease.Had Dr. Bita reviewed my medical history, she would have known this.

If I could give zero stars I would. I am a healthcare professional (COO of a large medical practice) and Dr. Bita is just another integrative medicine scammer. I had really high hopes for her and upon meeting her, I initially liked her. However, she had her tech do a test on me with no context (I never even filled out medical paperwork or a medical history form or even told her my chief complaint). The test her office did was for parasites using an F Scan machine, then over the phone, diagnosed me with Roundworm in my intestines and had me buy an entire 'cleanse' which was NOT cheap. Since I didn't have a real appointment with her for over a month and I did not understand the science behind this 'diagnostic' testing, I decided to see if this diagnosis was correct by having bloodwork and other not so fun lab work done and even MRI imaging through my PCP....it was 100% conclusive that I did NOT and do not have Roundworm. I have been a patient of Dr. Bita for many years. She's on top of the latest treatments and I love her forward and progressive medicine. She has always taken such good care of me. Her modern approach to therapy is spot on! I love the fact that I can be treated with alternative medicine if needed. Dr. Bita's care and guidance has always helped me. She provides the best medical care and has the best "bedside manners" you could ask for. She's caring and loving. I have always been impressed with her knowledge of medicine. If you want to find out what's going on with your body, see Dr. Bita, you won't be disappointed. You'll be in good hands!

Been a patient of hers for 9 years. She supported me through breast cancer, and many other issues such as thyroid and hormone imbalances. She practices an alternative medicine.... focusing on the importance of wholistic, integrative methods to build up your bodies greatest healing tool- your immune system. It helped me when I was able to take responsibility for my own health and work with her for support. If I was not willing to change my diet, take supplements for what I was lacking, work on my emotional life, exercise, have a relationship with my higher power, then..my choices were to do regular protocols of only drugs and surgery. Being on the cutting edge requires strength to deal with scorn and ridicule that come your way. Dear, Dr. Bita, ...Be strong and believe wholeheartedly in what you are doing. I am 79 years old, and I have never had a better doctor. Thank you for my healthy life, and that of many of my family and friends.

I went to Dr. Bita for several years and I had a thyroid disorder. Despite my bloodwork showing subclinical hyperthyroidism (which I discovered retrospectively), she diagnosed me as hypothyroid and had me taking thyroid replacement medication. Whenever I had a complaint of illness, she always immediately prescribed some sort of "natural" supplement to solve my issues, without ever asking any questions about it or trying to investigate the reason behind the problems. Her response to my issue of bad acid reflux was "take more enzymes" (which were conveniently sold at her location). Once, she even prescribed chlorine dioxide which is toxic disinfectant and is NOT meant to be ingested. I don't know what more to say other than I highly suggest looking for a doctor who is interested in investigating your health issues, not in selling natural supplements.

Dr. Bita is always keeping current with the latest advances in holistic medicine and is a very knowledgable and caring physician. She cares about the patient as a whole and focuses on healing from within. Nutrition is absolutely important and finding your way back to health takes effort from an attentive doctor and a patient willing to make some lifestyle changes. Thank you Dr. Bita for all your knowledge and help.

I would give this doctor 10 starts if I could. Dr Badakhshan is one of the most dedicated doctors I have known. She really cares, is knowledgeable, and takes the time to answer all your questions. She is kind and considerate. I recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Bita gets it! Her excellent treatment, curiosity, investigative mind and ability to connect, you know where you stand immediately and what next steps look like. I have stage 4 melanoma and I'm alive and healthy after 7 years because of her expert care. I feel at ease and confident with her and the staff is great, too. Highly recommended!

I have been seeing Dr.Bita since 2017 after a breast cancer diagnosis. I have had excellent care and I will continue to see Dr. Bita. I can only say good things about Dr. Bita she is kind, caring, intelligent and listens to my concerns. Dr. Bita's knowledge and cancer care experience has helped me to remain cancer free. I highly recommend Dr. Bita she will not let you down with your health care concerns. She is also very professional. I'm very grateful I found her.

I’ve been seeing dr. Bita for 2+ years as I am focused on preventive medicine. I have the history of breast cancer in the family. Dr. Bita is very professional and knowledgeable. She encouraged me to become vegetarian, and it works well for me. I like her honest feedback – if we want to be healthy, we need to watch our diet and exercise. Very often, we start doing it when it’s too late. I love this center and its holistic approach, this is the future of the medicine. Highly recommended!

Dr.Bita is very knowledgeable when it comes to functional medicine. I had a very good experience with her. I had stomach problems for months and I visited 3 different doctors and none of them could figure out what was wrong with me. Dr. Bita cured my stomach issues by putting me on a strict diet for 3 weeks and the pain was gone. Thank you doc ??

I went to CFNM after reading Dr. Connealy's book when I was diagnosed with TNBC. I saw Dr. Bita from the beginning. She is quick talking and no non-sense, her treatment options integrate both alternative medicine AND traditional medicine. I received treatment with my oncologist (chemo + surgery) while simultaneously having treatment with Dr. Bita. Dr. Bita gave me options for other surgeries (cryoablation) and encouraged me to alkalinize my body to reduce further risk. I appreciated her willingness to listen to my desires while also providing me support for traditional chemo to minimize side effects. She does get booked out quickly (about 3-4 months) but once you are an existing patient, if you really need her she makes herself available.

My experience with Dr. Bita was absolutely horrible. She is not knowledgeable about oncology. She led me to believe I could beat my cancer with her expensive supplements or vitamins. They also try to push that IV therapy saying it’s helpful. Actually my new scores show that my cancer went up and score. So she’s a blatant liar. And she should be removed for practicing medicine because she’s a snake oil salesman.

Dr. Bita is knowledgeable about what she does. Unfortunately, I felt shamed by her for choosing to do radiation and tamoxifen for my breast cancer. I came to the Cancer Center for Healing because I wanted more than just what my oncologist would offer me. I didn't feel heard or understood. This was disappointing because that is not at all the attitude I see and hear from Dr. Leigh Erin Connealy, the medical director.

Awful doctor, if you can really call her a doctor, I prefer snake oil salesman. Completely pushes expensive supplements she sells in office and orders expensive unnecessary test.

As mentioned before, she is unprepared for her visits, doesn't read the patient's history, and even though a phone call was made prior to the visit to verify insurance coverage and whether or not she is a participating provider, I was still stuck with a huge bill for a test that showed nothing and was unnecessary!

Dr. Bita was great, very knowlegeable!!

Would not recommend this doctor, or Center for New Medicine this Doctor does not take enough time with patients. Dr. Bita right away says you need to go vegan no sugar, no gluten ...that's not a realistic diet, Dr Bita is not prepared with the your medical history seems she does not read thoroughly.
