Amazing doctor, caring, goes above and beyond
Every visit with Dr Grubb is worth any wait. To be told it’s just anxiety, your pots, and be blown off by any professional is devastating… Dr Grubb is a true rarity and absolute gem, he will never just blame the autoimmune issues, he looks at the whole picture to pull together a treatment plan and will work with your other doctors for care as well. His knowledge of pots (dysautonomia) is mind blowing and he continues to seek answers for those with this diagnosis as well as continued - and or new care treatments as comes available. He continues researching and seeking new answers for treatment of his patients, his cardiology expertise is amazing. We are thankful to have found our way to this amazing doctor and will forever be grateful for his professionalism, kindness, and care in hands. He offers great empathy, suggestions, support, and truly listens to all concerns. For the negative reviews, I have to say that’s more on you, your input, reactions, or attitude. He is a good man

he's very kind, doesn't do anything for me tho.
Telehealth
My last visit was telehealth. I had been exercising so much and was in great shape. His notes were just about my weight and how i need to START an exercise routine. That was then the only topic is cohort wanted to discuss at my next appointment but i'll get to her later. He will hug you when you cry in office, and then what? I'm not really any markedly improved despite seeing him for well over 10 years. And UTMC started billing DOUBLE for telehealth once covid hit. I was charged 2 separate fees for office visit (the insurance paid, but it's a really disgusting thing to do) even though it was telehealth. I don't get responses often or quickly. I don't know why I don't get help there because every one talks about how amazing he is. But I can't help but notice, I'm still quite unwell and no one cares. so at least i can warn others if i can't get any help for myself.

Fantastic Doctor
Dr. Grubb and his team are rare in the health world, they actually care about their patients and want to help. They listen to the patients, take the time to explain why things are happening and how their recommended treatments should help. While it can take some time to be seen for the first appointment, it’s well worth the wait. Like many, Dr. Grubb and his team have given me hope and a life back when all other doctors had done the bare minimum. It’s amazing the results you can see when the doctor actually wants to help.

Dr. Grubb is fantastic! I saw numerous MDs before him; no one could figure out what was the problem. He knew almost immediately and recommended medicine and life style changes. He literally saved my life. He spends time getting to know you and truly cares about your well-being. I highly recommend him. That said, the only negative is that the cardio center at UT is very understaffed. If there is an emergency, such as Dr. Grubb being called to the ER because the ER cardio MDs called in sick, you may need to wait a long time before being seen. The office staff (he doesn't choose) doesn't have information on wait times and seem rushed all the time. I always bring a book because he is well worth the wait. I highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Grubb for a very long time (2003). The 1st appt. was long since he explained what POTs & NCS was doing to my body. He does that for all his patients,he wants to make sure he answers questions & that you understand everything. Also, trial and error is important when trying meds. When I'm Rx'd new meds he always has me stagger them when I start them. I'll start one then 3 weeks later or so start the other. Never at the same time. Also Beverly, his NPC is excellent!

Absolute TERRIBLE experience. Asked when I got there if he was on schedule. No one was able to give me a straight answer on how far behind he was. Waited TWO HOURS after my app to get seen. No apology from anyone. When I finally did see him, he spent less than 30 minutes with me. Didn't explain anything, didn't ask if I had questions, didn't order any tests, NOTHING. I was told when I booked app that he would spend atleast an hour with me. I drove 8 hours to see him and he was a JOKE.

He gave me two new medications and told me to see him in 9 months and we'd go from there if the meds didn't work. Well the meds didn't work because the symptoms I was having were new and not related to POTS. I am now unable to stop the new meds without severe withdrawal despite the fact that they're making me worse. I don't understand why you would attempt a trial and error process with medications instead of tests.

Dr. Grubb is obviously an expert in his field. He has said he has written over 1000 articles on POTS. Why on earth would he ruin his reputation by pushing you off on follow up visits to a nurse practitioner? Why see him in the first place just make an appointment with someone so beneath him as that is where you will end up. I have no confidence in how he handles his practice I will not return. I will have my family physician prescribe what Dr. Grubb did rather than a nurse.
