I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Newman and his staff. After struggling with epilepsy for five or so years, never being able to get in to see my old epileptologyst regularly, feeling like a number, and having a pain in the butt medicationI thought that was just the way things were and would continue to be like forever. After two appointments with Blake I finally have hope that I might be able to drive one day and that I don’t have to settle with having a couple grand mal seizures a year. Before I went to the U at my previous doctors office I didn’t feel like I was genuinely listened to and all the answers to my questions seemed to be the same confusing general answers I had already read on the internet ten times. Blake listens to understand and help me as an individual not just to reply which is so underrated. His staff is also super friendly, understanding and eager to help. Couldn’t recommend him enough!

He shows zero interest in patient, comes across very arrogant & very into himself only. Seizure conditions are all very unique, & it takes much personal time & effort to move forward & care diligently.

I appreciate the time Dr. Newman took to explain my test results in a way that I could understand. He also answered all of my questions and took time to listen. I didn't feel rushed, which was greatly appreciated.

By far one of the best doctors I have ever been to. He is so determined to figure out what's going on and make you seizure free.

The first appointment was good, I thought. But when I spoke to him, or my wife spoke to him, he was extremely condescending and spoke to both of us like we are children. He doesn't communicate fully or very well. He mentions something in passing and thinks his point was made. He thinks his opinion shouldn't be questioned, just followed. He didn't give an explanation for why he wanted me to do something. I had to request a different doctor to get results and communication that was satifactory.
