Dr. Blake Zika, MD

I went in with extreme abdominal pain and dizziness. I actually almost got into a wreck on the way to work because my vision got all blurry with the dizziness, so I went to the ER. When I was finally seen the nurse was sympathetic and said that they would probably do an abdominal scan and the doctor would be right with me. Well, he came in, asked how I was feeling, then immediately said that my blood work was normal and so it was probably just acid reflux. Then I asked him about my dizziness, but he said he couldn’t do anything about that and sent me on my way. I’ve now been in bed nonstop for the past two days still feeling the same. Just an awful doctor, if you can even call him that. Not to mention, I have a cyst on my pancreas that has been monitored but not recently. I told him this and asked if he thought this could be related. He simply said he didn’t know.

The worst experience I’ve ever experienced in my life. He was extremely dismissive. I came in with a bug bite that obviously caused an allergic reaction and he didn’t even look at the site of the bite. He just said oh it’s just a bug bite. It’ll go away in a few days. I couldn’t put any weight on my feet because the bite cause extreme swelling. He wouldn’t give me any medicine while there for almost six hours. Told me to take some antibiotics from the pharmacy and sent me on my way. I immediately went to a different hospital. I was experiencing an allergic reaction and it was infected. If I hadn’t been treated, it could have spread to my entire body. I am warning you with extreme caution to stay away from this man. I can’t even call him a doctor. I am utterly disgusted.

Horrible "doctor". Obsessed with my skin disease that I've had for 9 years and totally missed my GI bleed symptoms that I came in with.

Went to emergency at 11:00pm, seen Dr. Blake Zika, explained to him where I was hurting, he immediately explained to me what he was going to do....bladder and ct scan done, in no time Dr.Zika came to tell me me I had kidney stones, gave me medications and went back home. He is a very polite and friendly Doctor who knows how to treat patients, I would also like to say I have never seen a friendly staff like Manate Hospital Thank you very much Dr. Zika Debbie Lepage
