System
This encounter went well from scheduling through visit. If I thought that I could see my Cardiologist every visit and that KVH was committed to keeping the service there it would be a 5 star. If there was conversation with my Cardiologist that my next visit will be with a PA assuming all stays on track, I would be more open to it. To schedule a visit with my doctor to only be seen by the PA, seems a lot like bate and switch. I get that is the trend in healthcare but I also know i am not the only one who feels this way.

Both Dr. Hoppe and her aide were very thorough and explained everything, (twice if needed), and they listened attentively to what I had to say also. I would recommend this office and Dr. to anyone needing a heart doctor.

She's great
I needed a hurry up heart exam to OK a pending surgery on another part of my body. I am 85 and this pending surgery requires a general anesthetic. She's clearly over worked, as the earliest appointment on their books was about 4 mo out. She and her kind office help, Heather, somehow crammed me in for an appointment the next day. Plus Dr. Hoppe is a very squared away, easy to talk to, Doctor. Direct and clear.

Dr. Hoppe considers herself a medical advisor, rather than a provider. She encourages every patient to make his or her own personal medical decisions. Her special interests include research, women with arrhythmias and clinical integration.

Dr. Hoppe grew up in a small town in Minnesota. Her mother was very supportive of her dreams, and with that she found the strength to pursue them. She inherited her work ethics and perseverance which has allowed her to pursue a successful medical career.
