This doctor as he calls himself failed to take a history from me and therefore led him to misdiagnose mistreat and cause severe damage to me. Without a proper history he could not know that I have genetic defects which cause sleep onset insomnia which leads to severe sleep deprivation. When not properly treated I fall into sleep psychosis which resembles mental illness. He over meditated me on medications that I'm not supposed to have and he caused permanent neurological damage to my brain. His arrogance is understated. Do not let him anywhere near anyone you care about. He should have his license taken from him.

Highly Recommend!
I’ve struggled for years to find the right care for my mental health, especially with treatment-resistant conditions that other providers seemed unable or unwilling to truly address. Dr. Darmal at PsychWellNow has completely changed my experience. Unlike others, he’s genuinely invested in finding a solution that works for me, not just in a one-size-fits-all approach. From day one, I felt heard and understood, which has been rare in my journey. His dedication to empowering me to take control of my wellness is evident in every appointment, and he’s attentive to every detail of my treatment. I can honestly say this has been a transformative experience, and I finally feel like I have a path forward. If you’ve struggled to find someone who truly listens and specializes in complex cases, I highly recommend Dr. Darmal and his team. They’re changing lives, including mine.

Compassionless
My son experienced a traumatic mental break (his first), and Dr. Darmal was the attending psychiatric physican on call in the ER. Trying to get answers from Dr. Darmal about our son's condition, and next steps for his hospitalization, was like talking to an inanimate cold object - he was completely unfeeling and insensitive, and actually made an already difficult family situation even worse. While he may be knowledgeable in his field (based on our experience I'm not sure if this is even true), he certainly lacks the basic people skill of compassion which was desperately needed in our case. Because of his lack of professionalism, I asked him if someone else could talk to our son in his stead....his behavior was far from supportive to someone who was experiencing an initial mental episode. I understand that physicians deal with a lot, and I also understand that their goals are not to be our personal friends. But in an emergency, decency matters.

Friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. My first meeting with him I really didn't like him but after time to think everything through he made sense and I have since then apologized for calling him a bad word.

Zero stars should be an option
I implore you to Google this individual before allowing him near you. For an extra treat add United Airlines next to his name in the search bar. He claims anywhere from 5 to 20 years experience in the medical field depending on which one of his websites you have clicked on. Keep in mind he is in his early 30's and his main employer, Novant Health, has him listed as 5 years experience. 4 of those years are credited during his residency. Meaning, he's actually been a fully licensed doctor with his own DEA# for just over a year. My initial encounter with Borhan he made grovel for medication. For 3 and a half years the pharmacological treatment I received was consistent and there was no deviation given it has been the only course of treatment that provided any type of relief. Including the 12 ECT treatments I received in 2019. I begged Borhan not to change my medications. He did without cause and left me in a perilous state of mind. He is a danger to our community.
