Does Not Respond
Dr Brad Simons was contacted by me for double vision issues. His medical notes of my visit contained references to discussions he had regarding my medical problem and follow-up treatment with 'MY PARENTS'. MY PARENTS HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR OVER 25 YEARS. Obviously something is wrong and I have reached out to Dr Simons repeatedly to try to get these notes corrected. He has refused to even return my calls. Dr Simons was contacted on my behalf by my regular ophthalmologist and Dr Simons has not responded to him either. I consider his failure to respond a serious ethical issue regarding Dr Simons and his practice, Specialty Eye Associates.

Be prepared to wait!
Every appointment has a 4 hour wait time once you arrive. (And they tell you to come early.) it’s ridiculous. I would not recommend to anyone unless you literally have no other options.

Nothing positive to say
It is like a mill. Last time I was there, my appointment was a 915a, it was almost 11a and I still had not be seen nor called. i finally complained, I the lady in the front desk told me I could leave. So I did. It has not a good experience at all. Finally, got to see a doctor in Bascum Palmer, and it can't be compared. I am never going back to see Dr. Simonss

Simply awful office experience !!! Last resort
Billing office verified coverage and I received a bill almost $500!! When I called for an explanation they said they had been misinformed by the insurance company . Expect to wait for hours - you will also sit with everyone receiving free government insurance who probably don’t pay the $600/mo private insurance premium or the $500 out of pocket but it will all be covered by Uncle Sam and the other American public working multiple jobs to make ends meet that aren’t collecting benefits. The waiting room is so full people sit out in the hall. Like a cattle call for eye exams . The doctor is nice but if you can find somewhere else to go I suggest you do so without question. I can’t imagine how extensive his investment portfolio must be with the billing and amount of people moving through that makes it necessary to be there a minimum of three hours or much much more. Zero respect for anyone else’s time and any ownership of responsibility for their own job quality. Last resort!!!

Too long the wait time in a crowded messy waiting
The waiting room was jammed with at least 40 people. People sitting on the floor, kids running around, noisy and look like a Third World prison. The staff was surly and dumb as far as I could tell and although I was on time for my appointment it was obvious I would not see him for hours. The address on the website is screwed up and I drove around for 10 minutes and finally called. If he’s such a good doctor why is his front office so bad in every respect

They took 0 COVID precautions- there were about 30-40 people in the small waiting room at all times. They quadruple book their appointments, so if your appointment is at 1pm, don’t expect to see the dr until almost 3. It is a money factory in there and they have 0 bed side manned or patient rapport. The dr gives you 2 minutes of his time and didn’t even review the tests he ordered, resulting in me needing to find another dr who figured out my problem after taking time to look at the images ordered. Dr Simons referred me out and then had the audacity to ask me to book a follow up appointment so he could collect money from my insurance and “find out what the other dr discovered”. Disgusting. I will never recommend or go back. The facility is filthy.

I was assigned Dr. Simon by my childs insurance. I wish I had been prepared. Our first initial visit was a total of 2 and a half hours. One hr of just waiting. The staff (lady with a russian accent) is not friendly or at all sympathetic to a scared child. The doctor is okay. Overall, it's been the same in the pass 2 yrs we have been going. Crowded, waiting room and unfriendly staff. During Covid-19 our appt was canceled. Then I was sent a message stating that Dr. Simon can do a virtual meeting if we preferred. It wasn't in my list to do at the moment. I received a txt stating we had an appt. When I called to explain I couldn't go because I was jobless. Bibi was like at so cancel? Yes. I said, can we do the virtual meeting and she said,"no" and she hung up on me.

Disgusting! The address is wrong on the website (and shouldn’t they have mentioned when confirming) and the office is crowded and dirty like Port Authority. The office staff is gross - rude, impatient, incompetent. We left without seeing the doctor after being told we need to pay $441 to see the doctor. For an eye exam? Are you lining my eyes with gold? What a crook! Later!!!

Horrible! Office was overcrowded and filthy. Staff was surly and rude. Wait times 3+ hours. Walked out never to return. And.... they still try to make you pay over $400 with insurance (obviously they don’t understand). Run, run away!

I've been seeing this provider for almost 3 years for my son. EVERY time I go to the office it's a complete nightmare. They book appointments for a time prior to the provider even being in the office. They double or triple book time slots. The office is so crowded all the time you're often left with nowhere to sit or sitting on the floor. If you're LUCKY, you'll see the doctor for 5 minutes. Be prepared to be there for a minimum of 3 hours.

I left work early and took my child out of school early bcs. they do not have appts. after work/schl hrs. I arrived for a 3:20 appt. I completed all paperwork and it was 4:00. The secretary informed me that I had a bill from 5 yrs ago (very low) but unexpected, that must be paid with high copay to be seen. I rcvd two calls about the appt. However, noone informed me of this bill. They turned my child in need away due to a minor bill. Hwvr, they chose to see all medicaid pts. Nvmd. if I hv ins.

Dr. Simons is an amazing opthomoligist. Although you will wait a long time to be seen, Dr. Simons is well worth the wait. He takes a lot of time with each patient, is very thorough, and is the only pediatric and neuroopthomogist in the area. Additionally if you call with an eye problem, Dr. Simon will see you the same day you call. His staff is well organized and vet accommodating.

Dr Simons is an extremely kind, funny, and intelligent doctor who SPECIALIZES in eye and vision care. He is not an optometrist solely checking a patient's vision. He is also checking for the overall health of their eye muscles and such, so that does require testing, which may make the appt last longer, and that message is relayed upon making the appt. If you have any issue, they will squeeze you in. It is also a very clean office. But I suppose you can't please everyone right?
