I got a call from the hospital that stretcher transport home was arranged for my father. I hadn’t received any update from the doctor so nurse arranged for Dr Johnson to call me. I asked Dr. Johnson why my was going home on the same antibiotic he was admitted on the Dr. Johnson had told me “it was the wrong one”. He gave me a non-sensical answer (I’m a hospital pharmacist). Then I asked about a request I had made about evaluating for a suprapubic catheter. He said not a good idea “they cause infection too”. My dad’s primary was on board and after discharge we saw a urologist. My dad is being scheduled for the SP catheter placement.

I had all but given up on most Doctors with an onslaught of physical maladies,but upon my only third visit I'd realize this Doctor was literally a God sent. He takes his time and shows the utmost concern about my health and concerns and his unrushed demeanor puts me at peace. I am a retired nurse after 40 years of joyous service! Believe me I know a gem when I see one!
