Great as a cardiologist. Answered all my questions
I saw him several years ago in the emergency room. He did a heart Cath on me and I really liked him. I did not want to be knocked out and I wanted to watch. So he fixed the screen some both could see it and explained what he was doing and I was very happy and satisfied with his as my cardiologist.

Dr McElroy was Horrible!
I saw Dr. McElroy several years ago, and I wish I had done a review at the time. Dr. McElroy was the most rude doctor I have ever been to. From the moment he came into the room, he acted like he didn’t want to be there. He made me feel stupid, and acted like I was a criminal. He interrogated me very rudely. He asked how long I had been having chest pain, and when I told him, he said, “Well, if it was your heart, you’d already be dead.” I didn’t defend myself, because I was truly in shock. I had never been treated like that by a doctor. After I left, and thought about how I had been treated, I wished that I could do it over, so that I could tell him what I thought of him. He needs to change careers! I would give him a zero rating if I could!

Said he spent 25 minutes with me
Only spent about 10 minutes - dismissed the chest pain problems and said the EKG's were wrong. Sure did not look wrong to me and I have been reading them for years. T wave problems. Came in because have been having like a ton of bricks laying on my chest but he did not address that problem at all. Very disappointed. Medicare refused to pay because of the way they billed it. Offered to do a stress test if I wanted one but left it up to me - like he is the professional - he should be telling me what to do. I really do not want to go to Lourdes but am sorry I chose him - wish I had picked Dr. Raines.

Same problem as previous patients. I’ve had afib 11 yrs and he also told me it was in my head. Didn’t want to fill any of my meds...said I didn’t need them. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone.

Awful!!! He is unfriendly, very rude and a smart aleck! He needs some lessons in how to talk with respect and kindness to his patients! Dr. McElroy tells his patients they are old and worn out. They shouldn't set their goals to live much longer. When they try to have a conversation with them he them short and tells he doesn't have time to listen to their story. Very negative and arrogant!

He had been my cardiologist for three years. Never contacted me for a yearly appointment, and he wouldn't see me due to his busy schedule, when I was experiencing chest pains and pressure. His nurse told me to go to the emergency room, if the pain got worse!!!!! I will NEVER go to him again!!
