My husband experienced a “bait and switch” situation with Dr. Prestidge. Everything was set up for the brachytherapy treatment and then the office called and very nervously dropped bomb that Dr. Prestidge was “no longer with the practice” and another less experienced dr would perform brachytherapy. A few months later, we see that Dr. Prestidge is still actually with the practice and I am at a loss to explain Bon Secours’ and Dr. Prestidge’s lack of candor.

In 2019 I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I interviewed two physicians for treatment and selected Dr. Prestidge. During my first appointment, he took the time to explain the procedure that was prescribed and all that may occur. He put my wife and I immediately at ease at a time when we had many concerns and questions. During the four-week procedure his team was professional and he provided regular reviews. I highly recommend Dr. Prestidge for medical advice and treatment.

I was a participant in an NIH Study for re-occurring prostate cancer. The prostate cancer was found in the lower half of the right seminal vesicle. NIH would have treated the cancer, but I was not within the Study guidelines. The NIH radiation oncologist recommended I consult with Dr. Prestidge. After consultation with Dr. Prestidge, I was treated by Dr. Prestidge with DMC Brachy-HDR (high- dose radiation brachytherapy) for prostate cancer in the right seminal vesicle after brachytherapy of the prostate. My treatments were on October 9,2020 and October 23 ,2020. Dr. Prestidge is the ultimate professional; he thoroughly explained the planned procedures to my wife and me. He answered all our questions in detail. His expertise and competency were apparent. He spent time with both my wife and me individually after the procedures to explain how the procedures went and to answer any questions. All follow up has been with Dr. Prestidge. I have and would highly recommend Dr. Prestidge.

I had many doctors to choose for my cancer care, but after the first meeting, there was no doubt it would be him. Very professional and personable, took whatever time was necessary to discuss my health, and has an impeccable reputation in the cancer care field. He continues to be very available for follow-ups, and committed to my well being. I'm glad I was referred to him by another doctor who considered him the best in his field. I highly recommend Dr Prestidge.

Dr. Prestidge was professional, informative and encouraging. He discussed my options with me and was supportive of my decision (brachytherapy). His staff were extremely professional also. It is now one and a half years since my procedure. Follow ups continue to be encouraging. I am grateful to have had Dr. Prestidge in our community.

Dr. Prestidge has been an excellent physician for me in every way. I have been his patient since the summer of 2016. Now I cannot seem to find him. DePaul says he is no longer there and they have no information. I am concerned. Can you tell me how to contact Dr. Prestidge?

I was unable to conduct a face-to-face first visit, so Dr. Prestidge and I had a Skype session. He had been recommended by a mutual acquaintance and I do not regret accepting his treatments. A professional staff to assist is always a plus and his staff is outstanding and most friendly too!
