Know what you are having done on your hands
Bradley Schaffer did unnecessary hand surgery, called an Allograft, for Arthritis Leaving me with nerve Damage and neuropathy. He was quick to do the extreme... I should have had Carpal tunnel. Very impersonal and uncaring Dr.

Skilled surgeon/substandard medical assistant
Dr. Schaffer is a true gem. He’s not the problem. Needed to sever relationship due to his awful medical assistant. Prior to severing the relationship, I had considerable doubt with postop care with her due t various reasons. Her lack of knowledge, medical assisting skills, forgetfulness, answering simple questions, rudeness, gaslighting comments, lack of integrity and honesty, and denying me access to him via phone one day prior to scheduled surgery… which could have been summed up in 30 seconds with him. Truly the worse ive ever seen and wonder why she’s there with him being a skilled clinician who sets the bar high, compassionate, very thorough and easy going. Fortunately, I secured another surgeon out of Worcester and the process went as smoothly as Dr. Schaffer’s office was erroneously difficult. Dr. Schaffer she needs to go.

Dr Bradley Schaffer treated my finger about a year ago. The injury was a snapped tendon and my finger stayed bent all the time. It was unsightly and uncomfortable. Dr Schaffer had me splint it for two months and it is perfect. A year later still perfect. He is an amazing doctor and I am grateful !

Dr. Schaffer did a carpal tunnel release on my wrist. The procedure went fine. I had confidence in him when we met to discuss my situation. However, his office staff is the problem. Prior to the surgery, the process was not smooth. One example: I received multiple emails stating the time of my surgery, but that was from an automated system, which had nothing to do with the actual time. The hospital calls the day before. A week after the procedure, my incision was irritated and starting to become infected. I called the office and they agreed to see me after I sent them pictures. I saw his medical assistant first. She was very rude to me after I asked if she would be putting on steri-strips since Dr. Schaffer instructed her to remove the stitches only 6 days post-op. Other interactions with her were just ok, but overall her knowledge and ability to answer questions was limited. Dr. Schaffer is a good surgeon, but his office staff was the issue for me.

Middle finger end chewed up in an industrial accident, Dr. Schaffer and team did a fine reconstruction job, no complaints. Also, the staff is friendly and professional and I found short office wait times a bonus.

Dr Schaffer is amazing. Super friendly with a good bed side manner and professional always. One long time office staff member is just terrible to my husband every time he is there. She took his stitches out prematurely. She missed two of them. Never gives follow up instructions and has no personality. Too bad for her because he has such high expectations from his staff and surgical team. Maybe no one has told him. She’s got to go.

I suffered from Dupytrens which had my left hand almost rendered useless as a musician. After 2 surgeries and rejections from other surgeons (it was too hopeless a case, they wouldn't touch me), I went to Dr. Schaffer on recommendation from another patient. I walked in with little hope, but after an incredible surgical miracle I am back in action. He is absolutely the best as far as I'm concerned. He gave me and my hand new life. Words cannot express what this amazing Doctor has done for m
