Dr. Brandy Milstead, MD

Dr. Milstead convinced me to go to the ER for suspected food poisoning that led to 4 days of hospitalization & recovery from sepsis. She is a caring physician who has helped me on several occasions with helpful prescriptions and medical recommendations that led to great outcomes & fast recovery.

Dr. Milstead treated me with compassion and professionalism. Best experience with a doctor I’ve ever had. Extremely knowledgeable and personable. Could not have had a better experience.

Great visit. Short and to the point.

I came to the ER because I was bleeding for 10 days passing blood clots. She prescribed me birth control and said there was no reason to do any imaging. Given my history, I think I should have had a scan or ultrasound. Everything she told me I had read online previously. Terrible doctor. No help! Wish I could have given her negative 5 stars. Very condescending and rude for no reason. I left the same way I came.

This Dr. Is condescending, rude , would not even take my blood. Sent me home with a horrible staph infection from the water. I was back in the Er 3 days later almost septic. She continually asked me about IV drug use, which is HIGHLY offensive, esp since she wouldn't even take my blood . She laughed when I asked her questions as to why I keep getting staph from the Gulf. I've never been so offended. She did not do her job, and has a horrible attitude. I'm a surfer and am in the water every day. Very suceptable to water borne illness. Disgusting Dr. Who sent me home crying!!

The only reason I gave one star is because there's not an option for zero stars. Ms. Milstead has the worst attitude with no compassion. Personally I didn't want or need her compassion. what I needed was a professional emergency physician to tend to my needs at hand. Instead, Ms. Milstead chose to change her specialty from Emergency medicine to psychiatry., and she was not even good at that. Ms. Milstead did not even ask me what happened to bring me to the ER. She treated me back in March at Bay and apparently she wasn't informed that I was discharged from Bay. So thanks to this person that does not deserve the title of Dr. She has single handedly destroyed my confidence in Sacred Heart. My suggestion to her is to go back to college and find a different career.
