Dr. Brenda Castells, MD

I did enjoy that Dr. Castells gets to the point and office visits are quick! The process of children Psychiatries is not anything to complain about when getting your child help. Keep your appointment and hold yourself accountable when making sure medication is needed. She is by the book and evaluates based on the systems given and used in her practice. Sometimes intergraded medicine gives too many choices and is suitable only for particular cases. Some may not understand her disposition but your there for a reason to get results with less risk.

Dr. Castells has been treating my two children for the last year and a half. She is fantastic. I have worked in the mental health field, so I have experience working with lots of psychiatrists, and she is one of the best! She really listens to all of our concerns, and has always gotten back to me quickly if I have a question or if my child needs a medication adjustment. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a child psychiatrist. I have found her office staff to be very responsive, too, but you have to call the direct number. The New Horizons main number will send you in circles.

Her office is never available by phone and its like pulling teeth to get a prescription refill. Her office is very unprofessional.

I have nothing but good things to say , as a single father of two boys she has gone above and beyond helping our family.
