Don’t waste your time
Negligent on every level from the first appt! We waited 1.5 hours after appt time for what was supposed to be a ONE HOUR consult. He gave us only 20 mins and rushed the appt because he was running behind. I was terribly sick and no one in the office cared with a long list of health issues. He never did a physical exam, no documenting symptoms, never reviewed list of symptoms and treatments we were doing at home, no reviewing prior medical records we had readily available. Then we waited another hour for labs.Emails sent thru patient portal were often ignored or denied my requests for additional testing to get done because he failed to document symptoms. Then we waited 45 mins after appt time for a telehealth follow-up which was a waste of more time. Then he was supposed to send a referral to an immunologist and instead, I received a referral for a pediatric allergist. Disappointed on every level. He will never be recommended by anyone we know or care about.Have proof if anyone needs

I love Dr Curly, and his staff. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with him both in office and when I was in hospital at Honor Shea. He is caring, kind, and straightforward! His front office staff, and the staff who do labs and infusions are knowledgeable, very efficient, and unfailingly nice. I am grateful for such great care in Scottsdale.

Always late
Almost an hour behind schedule every visit. They could at least text to delay arrival as my time is also important but they don’t seem to think so. The doctor himself is personable but scheduling sets him up for this bad review. I don’t need my blood pressure rising at the doctors.

Hands down, one of the best doctors I've ever had. Dr. Curley is the perfect mix of empathy, positivity, frankness and knowledge. He is honest and forthcoming with your diagnosis, but is also kind and considerate. Dr. Curley is always smiling and positive. During chemo he is a cheerleader for your recovery. Cancer and cancer treatment can be very scary. But you are in the perfect hands with Dr. Curley.

He is by far, the nicest, coolest physician I have ever seen. He sat down and just talked to me for about 15 minutes. So nice when your doc isn’t rushing through your appointment. He has the best bedside manner. So very pleased with the office staff too, they were also kind and courteous. I left leaving pleased with the experience. It’s wonderful to see a physician who isn’t jaded by healthcare nowadays.

Dr. Curley is clinically top-drawer but also has an excellent bedside manner. His staff, and in particular his infusion nurses, make infusion days so much easier. I feel very safe and comfortable with him. Mary K Scottsdale, AZ

Dr. Curley is definitely one of the best doctors I have ever had. He treats me for my blood platelet cancer and he has really helped me. He really cares for his patients and I feel very lucky for being referred to him. I am really grateful for his care. Nelda Majors

Run run and run away fast!! He will completely minimize u and your situation! On my very first visit with him, he told me my "Breast Cancer wasn'the even Breast Cancer" he said it was just "abnormal cells". I stayed b/c it was more exhausting to try and find someone new. But given the chance to do it over I would make the effort and definitely CHANGE! Additionally, if you want him or any of his staff, but especially him to spend any length of time with you..we'll you will be sorely disappointed. AND heaven forbid you have half of a brain and ask him any questions trying to take care of yourself!!! He DOES NOT care for that and will again minimize you and completely cut you off! If you don't care about any of this than he is your guy, however, if you do than please do yourself a favor and go to someone else. AZCCC/Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center is not the only game in town nor is Brendon Curly the only oncologist!! I would never, ever in a million years recommend this man..NEVER!!

My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (her2+) in May 2017. She refused all treatments and tried holistic supplements, no sugar and iv vitamins. A year later in May 2018 she couldn’t breathe, leg pains...I convinced her to seek medical care. When I got her to Dr Curley she was on her death bed! Dr Curley started the right medications for her2+ breast cancer. My mom did 8 rounds of taxotere, with other medications. She had two surgeries needed to help her lungs and replace her hip that had a breast cancer tumor in it. It’s now over. Year since she started seeing Dr Curley and her prognosis is awesome. She is getting stronger now and back to life and living. And I know she will be alive 5,10,20 years. We highly recommend Dr Curley’s empathetic, caring, expert treatments for breast cancer. And if you know someone or are someone afraid of chemo please know that treatments have come a long way and are not that bad and do work! Seek treatment and don’t be scared.

Encouraging and positive became arrogant and pompous when I questioned the therapy or asked questions about complimentary medicine. He rushed us into treatment without an opportunity to get our questions answered. When I pressed, he engaged in fear based tactics promising that his method was the only way to give 33 more months of life...compared to what, I'm not sure. I think he is great if you are a Stage 1-2 cancer. Stage 3+ is a death sentence.

Dr. Curley treated me last year for throat cancer. He was awesome in both his technical approach but more importantly how he treats you as a person and explains everything. Always positive and upbeat. The office team and infusion nurses are the best, amazingly compassionate and caring. They made a miserable journey bearable by their attitudes and care.

My family doctor recommended I go see Dr. Curley. I was waiting for a sign of hope, thinking this might be it. When I first met him I knew he was the right doctor for me. I knew I didn't need another opinion. The amount of care, compassion, patience, and all-around love for me, his staff, and other patients is outstanding. He is my hero. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have known I had non-Hodgkins Follicular lymphoma. He got right to business regarding my wellness and plans to get better.

Dr. Curley is an outstanding physician. He helped me through the most trying time in my life when I was diagnosed with lung cancer. Other doctors do not take the time to listen, but Dr. Curley took the time to explain my treatment plan with my family and I. He even called and made sure I was doing well with my chemo treatments. A one of a kind doc. You will not find a better oncologist in Arizona.
