Extremely RUDE
I just had a regular 6-month check in for my thyroid, and had one of the WORST experience I had with any doctor. After I politely said 'good morning,' she immediately criticized me for not getting the blood work done first. But she had NOT issue the blood work order previously. And she started criticizing me for not taking care of my health of getting the blood work done first. Again, nor the doctor or anyone from her office issued the blood work or asked me to get the blood tests first, while I diligently followed up with my 6-month check-ins. She even insulted me, asking me if I need a translator (because I am not white?!). When I said 'no' (I teach at a university), she said 'really? you don't seem to understand my instructions.' This doctor might have had a bad morning, but it is not certainly not acceptable to take her anger out on a patient.

Highly Recommended
Dr. Miranda-Palma replaced my previous physician, who left the University of Miami. Even though it was difficult to secure an appointment, I’m glad I persevered. The UM Lennar facility has great parking and very convenient. Her staff was very friendly and efficient. The day of my visit, I was surprised that I didn’t have to wait at all. Dr. Miranda-Palma was systematically detailed in her examination and at no time I felt rushed. During my visit she listened and patiently answered my questions, explaining my condition well and her health plan of action. I was thoroughly satisfied with the service I received from Dr. Miranda-Palma.

I have experienced the most unprofessional and disrespectful event with this doctor's office. I made my appointment months in advance and confirmed my attendance multiple times (x3 text response). I attend my appointment as scheduled and they tell me she simply can't see me because she has too many patients. The audacity! I take time off work and drive across town in traffic for this appointment. My time is just as valuable as theirs. The best part, I ask when I can be reschedule and the next appointment is in 3 months. It is very unfortunate that we are treated in this manner. If the doctor can't see so many patients in one day, then don't schedule them or don't take on so many patients. UNBELIEVABLE!

Dr Miranda is not the type to cuddle you and give you TLC. She demands results. If you don't like this approach find yourself a different dr. What she is, is a very thorough physician, she is very knowledgeable, she is great at diagnosing she knows how to treat each patient with the right treatment. If you follow directions she will be good with you. She wants you to get good results and health. If you don't follow diet and medication regimen like she asks you to, she will tell you straight!

I am diabetic and in more than 6 visits she has never even examined my feet. Failed to take a complete history. Failed to offer me diet plans. Spaced my visits more than 6 months apart because my high A1C scores might hurt her reviews of patient improvement--she told me that she would drop me if my next A1C score was not much lower and offered changed my regimen to higher doses of insulin that based on my measuring my sugar would lower my sugar to dangerous levels. No follow in the last 6 months

Dr. Miranda doesn't coddle me. She explains thing well and educates me on my diabetes issues, She is difficult to see sometimes, but I can always call DRI to see my favorite ARNP Allison Wick.

Continuously cancelled appointments, rescheduling them for several months later. Refused to acknowledge it and completely brushed off any complaint about not being able to receive timely medical care. Patronizing and all around frustrating to visit. Would NEVER recommend.
