My husband and I both are seen in the Jasper office. Everyone is ALWAYS so nice. We have never felt like our visits were rushed. Truly trust the care we have received and will return for future needs.

Most efficient and pleasant office staff checking in and out. Safe environment during pandemic. Initial contact with Jesse who took care of x-rays and preliminary care - friendly and well informed. Dr. Hintze and his PA were efficient, answered all my questions, gave me confidence in their recommendations.

I had a 1 1/2 hour Out Patient surgery in Jasper, GA, on my left foot - 2nd toe/hammer toe. 1. At the follow up appt after the out patient surgery, I showed Dr. Hintze that my big toe angled dramatically to the left. He said, “no problem”. Now my big toe almost crosses over the second toe. 2. The second toe rests A LOT lower than my other toes And it aches daily. 3. When I received the hospital bill before insurance for the 1 1/2 hour out patient surgery, it was over $56,000. I showed Dr. Hintze the bill. His response was, “It would be higher if I were still in Atlanta.”. 4. I have to have the surgery done again to correct the faulty, unprofessional first surgery. I went to an orthopedic doctor - not a podiatrist. When I had the x-ray done, the screw was lifted up, and the plate had shifted. My disappointment is two fold: Dr. Hintze performed inadequate, unprofessional surgery, and he did not take responsibility for the excessive hospital bill or his faulty skills.

I visited Hintze on Monday and was extremely disappointed in his lack of concern for the health of his patients! No one in his office, including himself, were wearing a mask. The front desk person said, I have never worn a mask and I am not sick. Completely ignoring CDC guidelines of encounters of less than six feet. Hintze said he was following WHO guidelines, which may or not be correct. However, doctors, dentists and practically ever other business has used masks for their staff. Apparently the patients in his, who were all wearing masks, are more concern with other people’s health. Shame on you!! Needless to say, I will never return to that office.

Had a bone spur removed from achilles tendon last year. When I woke up, I thought I would get a wheelchair. The nurse said Dr. Hintze wanted me to put weight on my foot. Pain was unbearable. They put me in a boot and told me it was good to walk. Since pain was so bad, I googled the surgery and it said patient should not put full weight on foot for at least 10 days. Before post surgery visit, my incision had split in half. After several visits, I developed a keloid scar(Dr. Hintze)didn't tell me that,I googled the picture and he did verify that's what it was. I also developed a large round hard mass above the scar, (scar tissue). Dr. told me all of that would work it's way out, After months of repeated visits, he continued to tell me to give it time. I asked if there was a non surgical way to remove the scar tissue and he said no so I got a 2nd opinion. Within 2 weeks, I had shock wave therapy/topaz & stem cell shots, non invasive. Very disappointed with Dr. Hintze's care/communication

He literally flew in and out of my room, after waiting for an hour. He asked a couple of questions, I began telling him my problems with my feet, and he was done! Gave me a script for an insole not covered by medicare, and was gone! What a waste!

After reading all of the positive reviews, I was very disappointed with my visit to Dr. Hintze. Although my medical problem was simple (apparently, toenail fungus), I was shocked that without exaggeration, the doctor spent three minutes with me before heading to the door. He did not take a nail scraping to confirm the diagnosis, nor did he have anyone file down or buff the nail to make it more receptive to topical treatment. He did not discuss causation or treatment alternatives (oral medication vs. topical). Dr. Hintze gave me a prescription and said the condition would be gone in two months. But the package insert (and scholarly medical websites) agree that even after 48 weeks of treatment, only 12% of patients end up with a clear nail. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Happy to find a nearby doc who seems knowledgeable but also leans toward conservative treatment, when appropriate. Dr. Hintze quickly assessed my feet and provided - at completely reasonable cost - an orthotic insole that he customized for my needs. 2 weeks later the pain is gone, I know what kind of shoes to buy for my feet, and he may have resolved decades of painful foot cramps!

Dr. Hintze and his staff was beyond impressive. My husband broke his ankle over the weekend and after the ER visit was referred to podiatry for surgery. We had a horrible time finding a physician that was willing to handle his case as self pay since we are currently uninsured. The staff was more than accommodating and very understanding of our situation so we were scheduled for an appointment the same day that I contacted the office. Anyone who needs podiatry needs to see Dr. Hintze!

Dr. Hintze fixed my big toe on my left foot. I had went to Orthopedic physicians who only wanted me to splint the toe or have it amputated. After hearing this, I went to see Dr. Hintze and he said, please don't let anyone amputate you toe. He told me could fix it and now what a difference! He is an amazing podiatrist who is very knowledgeable and really loves and cares about his patients.
